2010 Preseason Tournaments

reclegend22Carolina looked smooth during the stretch of the game I was able to see, a 180-degree difference from last season, even in just that short amount of time. From the looks of the numbers, Barnes played a hell of a first half.
But this is the Hoftstra Pride, folks. -
wildcats20This team would have lost to Hoftstra last season.
-
reclegend22As scary as the Hofstra Big Pride looked heading into tonight after the big win over Farmingdale State earlier in the week, I'm not sure we can know this for sure.
Nevertheless, Carolina is certainly upgraded from the Chapel Hill outfit of a season ago. Barnes is going to be special, and I'm sure I will hate him. -
LeonardoPittsburgh leads Maryland, 62-56 with 7:50 left in the second at MSG in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic; Illinois vs. Texas to follow
-
gorocks99Gophers up on Western Kentucky 59-47 with about 11:30 to play.
-
karen lotzGood game at MSG between Pitt and Maryland. 70-66 Pitt with 1:05 to play.
-
gorocks99Minnesota gets the win, 95-77, and will take on UNC tomorrow night.
-
LeonardoTexas up 24-20 on Illinois mid-way through the first half. The winner meets Pittsburgh tomorrow night.
-
ironman02I don't think anyone is declaring Carolina to be Final Four material after beating Hofstra. I was simply happy to see that the Heels can make a shot from the perimeter.
One thing that I'm also very pleased with is the fact that Drew had 6 assts and only 1 turnover, while Marshall had 9 assts and 2 turnovers. Solid play like that at the PG position will make Carolina a good basketball team this season.
Interesting matchup with Minnesota tomorrow night. I'll have to DVR that one. -
LeonardoTexas scores the first seven points of the second half to take a 52-45 lead.
-
Leonardo69-69 with 5:25 left
-
wildcats20What a stupid ass decision
-
LeonardoThis is a good game to watch. 73-73 with 49 seconds left and Texas has possession with 32 seconds left on the shot clock.
-
LeonardoFreshman Corey Joseph drills a foul-line jumper and Texas calls their last timeout and Jerome Richmond ties it! Texas misses two shots at the end and we're off to overtime!!!
-
gorocks99Texas wins in OT, 90-84.
Today's games:

Thanks wildcats .. I really don't know what to expect. It could be a 5 point Minnesota victory or a 20-point loss. Gophers have surprised me before with the aforementioned wins versus Louisville and Butler, but I have a feeling UNC is a different animal this year. One of the bigger chances they have is to rattle the young players early and use their experience to their advantage. Should be fun, and I must say I'm SO glad we beat WKU last night because our SOS would've been crap without playing UNC and Vandy/WVU. -
reclegend22Count me in for absolutely not being able to wait to watch Minny-UNC tonight. Could be just the pick-me-up I need right now. Even superior to the white pony. Gorocks, we are behind you.
I might even pull out my bloodshot RL striped polo tonight. LET'S GO BURROWING RODENTS!
Gotta love the hate dynamic (I've used that word on every post of the day, I believe, so I'm keeping with it) of sport. I almost, almost, love it more than my own team. -

That's ok, I hate you almost as much as I hate the Dookies lol -
gorocks99No surprise, Georgetown beats Wofford 74-59 to advance to the Charleston Classic finals.

Haha. Well, wait until Feb. 9. You're going to really hate mewildcats20 wrote:That's ok, I hate you almost as much as I hate the Dookies lol
Seriously, though, if Tubby gets his boys ready to play, tonight could be a good dynamic. Lol. Could be a good game. Can't wait (though I think UNC pulls it out) and so glad the season is just about in full swing. -

Yes, yes.
Feast Week is my 2nd favorite "week" of the season behind Rivalry Week. -
gorocks99That first half was ugly. Sooooo ugly. 27-24 Minnesota leads at half, somehow.
-
cbus4lifeGo Minny! Love me some Tubby.
