Week 12: Notre Dame def Army, 27-3

  • killer_ewok
No review needed on that one. 10-3 Irish
  • karen lotz
Ruffer is accurate as hell and does an excellent job on FGs (obviously) but leaves a lot to be desired on kickoffs.

....I see a number of empty seats in this stadium. :(
  • killer_ewok
    3 & out again. I'm stunned.

This has probably already been said, idk. But who envisioned Army coming into this game with the better record?
  • sjmvsfscs08
Cierre Wood may rush for 150+ tonight. Loving his patience and especially his pass blocking.

Check out their schedule. I'd hope any team worth two shits could have a winning record against that trash.

Probably sleeper an ccrunner. Those guys know more about the sport than I could ever hope.

Floyd is starting to ball now.

Yeah no kidding. That schedule is silly. It's why I adamant about saying Army is not on Navy's level, at least not yet.

    Eifert for the TD!!!!
  • karen lotz
Ok Rees to Eifert looks decent!
  • killer_ewok
Rees has regrouped well after that INT thrown in the endzone on the 1st drive. Well done, young fella.

Another 3 and out. What is going on?
  • sjmvsfscs08
Anyone else have a raging boner thinking about the receiving corp next year?

    WR - Michael Floyd
    WR - Theo Riddick
    WR - TJ Jones
    TE - Kyle Rudolph

Then add in Tyler Eifert, Roby Toma, John Goodman (mehh..), etc.

This offense is shaping up nicely for Brian Kelly. Now if the quarterback situation wasn't such a concern...

The D continues to shut down Army after getting worked on the 1st series.

Diaco didn't fuck up the game plan. You know as well as anyone this defense plays fairly well against the run.
  • sjmvsfscs08
Roby Toma is doing well. He's got that slot receiver look and I love it.

They are going to return a lot next year. Add in Wood and Gray, maybe Justice Hayes will see the field, Bennett Jackson could have a bigger impact on offense. Along the line they may only lose Stewart too. Defense will return everyone except for Williams and Walls I believe...
  • sjmvsfscs08
You think Hayes will see the field? At slot or RB? If Huggins commit he will be the RB and Hayes will move to slot behind Riddick in my opinion. I love Toma as a backup for Riddick though.

I think Atkinson is the incoming freshman I'm most excited about.

I forgot about Bennett Jackson too. He needs to add some weight but boy he is fast.
  • karen lotz
Holy shit! Everything going ND's way tonight. Ben Turk actually downed a punt inside the 10 instead of flying it through the endzone.

Well I was assuming he'd see the field some due to necessity. I just count on the rash of injuries continuing into 2011...:) If he and other incoming freshmen don't HAVE to play and BK can start to build some really solid depth for future years that would be ideal.

    17-3 Notre Dame at half.

I figured Notre Dame's defense would do well, but this offense is clicking, much to Army's chagrin.

    GOOOOO IRISH!!!!
  • killer_ewok
The route is officially on. GO IRISH!

    Ok DWalls
