haha I thought I saw that somewhere but didn't think it was real. I didn't know those 3 schools had sports. Is Texas State the school from Necessary Roughness?

According to Wikipedia, they're 1-AA (Southland Conference) and will be fully transitioned to 1-A by 2012, which is when they join the WAC.

Texas State was formerly Southwest Texas State. They're just north of San Antonio in the ever growing San Antonio-Austin corridor and shouldn't be regarded as potential pushovers. First of all, they're in South Florida's position but with their own stadium.

Texas-San Antonio is just starting a football program and will play at the 50,000+ seat Alamodome that is still in great condition (I was there for the 5A title games last year). They are definitely entering the USF like setup where they'll be THE major team in a large market with the heavyweights (Texas, A&M, etc) looming from a distance but will grow quickly.

Larry Coker is building UTSA's football program. They will win some ballgames and may shock some people.

Thats a pretty good hire really. He is a whack job but he had some years and he's a household name. Surprised no mention of him and Minny job.

Yeah, I can't wait til they go undefeated in the WAC and everyone complains about how they should be in the national title game.
