Fuck Cam Newtown. He's a thug in my book.

    A thug? lmao

All the allegations about Newton may be true but the timing seems odd. All this (if true) should have came out a couple years ago, why now? Is it just because he's the front runner for the Heisman Trophy? Who's behind this, that would be interesting to know, what do they hope to gain. First the money, now cheating, even if not true this may change enough votes to let someone else win the Heisman, all this is stuff from a couple years ago, if true it should have already been out there. I think James should win the Heisman anyway but not because of any of this, let's see what the investigation shows before we pass judgement.

I thought he left Florida cuz he accepted stolen property, and when questioned about it he chucked it out the window and tried to flee

    LaMichael James' parents?? :D

^^Probably Urban Meyer because he wishes he could have him now.

    Shocking.

If this is true, fine. But this is bullshit on Florida's part to just make this an issue now. I have a feeling Urban Meyer is likely behind this getting released. Pure scumbag.

now the Heisman voters have something else to consider, whether it's true or not...these allegations certainly aren't helping Newton's cause.

The thing is, he must have left Florida in good enough standing to get into the JUCO. He still had to get through the clearing house and then he had to apply to get into Auburn.

I just don't see this as an issue. And honestly, I would think there would be some type of confidentiality laws with a college releasing this information, so if I were Cam Newton, I have my lawyer file a suit against Florida today.

He left Florida before the school could bring him in front of the honor board or whatever.

This is how I feel. I don't know if this is true, but if Cam sits idly by and does nothing, he's accepting guilt in my book. If he fights it, I'm on his side.

I also question the timing of all this too. MSU wasn't going to say anything about Newton trying to get $200k from them? Florida was going to let him get away with cheating? Somethings fishy here, and it's not the gator shit.

    So?

If I remember correctly he was enrolled for the spring classes and made the decision to leave once Tebow announced he was coming back after the NC game. Just saying he was enrolled in classes, meaning hadn't been kicked out, and as far as I knew he was eligible for the football team up until he was kicked off the team for the laptop, so he must not have been failing.

like i said, something's fishy here, timing wise.

Where is the proof that the college released this information?

    So?
Therefore his academic standing wouldn't have been in question. PLUS juco's are designed in part to help students get back on track. So they still would have accepted him. Not to mention he is a stud athlete.

How else would it have become known?

Who knows who could have released it but there is absolutely no proof to your accusation that Urban Meyer was behind it. None whatsoever. It could have been someone that is at UF yet has no connection to the UF football program, someone who is long gone from the program, someone who was close to Cam and knows the details, etc. There are literally hundreds of people that could have had knowledge of the situation that could have been the source, yet you jump to the conclusion that Urban Meyer, who is probably a little more worried about a chance to with the SEC east against South Carolina, is focusing his time digging up dirt on an ex-player instead. I mean I agree that Urban Meyer has done some shady things well at UF, but this is a BIG reach with no proof.

I might have missed it, so please show me where anyone said urban meyer is behind this.

I doubt there were hundreds who knew about it, and if this is true, it should have only been an issue with him getting into a JUCO. It's ridiculous that it would become an issue now.

Really? Former teammates, the student involved in the paper scandal, etc. The article quotes a "source." It is highly unlikely that the college released this information. And incredibly difficult to prove it.

I understand that, but it's worth looking into, if you are Cam Newton.

I doubt it's a former teammate. Another student? I hope that's not the source that is behind this "breaking story". Regardless of who it is, it is confidential information that technically should have only been known by Cam Newton and whoever he told and the administrators that deal with it.

And again, it's not even worth talking about because he has transferred and been cleared by the clearinghouse twice now.
