Cam Newton Cheated at Florida???? Maybe So....

I doubt it's a former teammate. Another student? I hope that's not the source that is behind this "breaking story". Regardless of who it is, it is confidential information that technically should have only been known by Cam Newton and whoever he told and the administrators that deal with it.

And again, it's not even worth talking about because he has transferred and been cleared by the clearinghouse twice now.

You don't think the student whose paper was "stolen" would be a credible source?

Fact is, you cannot just file a suit and claim the University released the information without even a hint of credible evidence as to who breached that duty. Well, I suppose you could file it but it would immediately be dismissed. Filing a suit would be the worst thing Newton could do at this moment unless he can prove by a preponderance of the evidence that the University breached a legal duty.

And I'm not going to argue what is and what isn't worth talking about.

There's some serious mud being slung now. Not saying all of this is true, but I am guessing there is some truth to this information

So basically the Heisman voters will either be voting for Newton, who was involved with stolen property and multiple cheating incidents while at UF, or LaMichael James, who seems to have a penchant for beating up his girlfriend.

Meyer said, "“Our entire focus right now is on preparing for our biggest game of the year against South Carolina. For anyone to think that I or anyone on our staff may have leaked information about private student records to the media doesn't know us very well. It's a ridiculous claim and simply not true.”

Meyer has no reason to break federal law leaking info about Cam. Greg Doyel and Thayer Evans are tabloid columnists at best. They put their stories out seeking national attention.

I know this much...Newton did not leave because Tebow came back. Cam bought a laptop out of a guy's car trunk. $150 for a $1000 laptop. He knew it was fishy, but he did it. He logged on to UF's network, and the ID of the laptop came back flagged because it was stolen and they tracked down the laptop username C. Newton. Cam was suspended indefinitely from the team by Meyer. We knew he had a scheduled meeting with the student conduct board and was facing school suspension. I knew Cam's punishment was out of the ordinary, compared to punishment given to a couple other players at the time. I knew that some insiders were saying there was more to the story of Cam's suspension. I read that Cam was heading down the wrong path at UF. He got in trouble and had more than a laptop to worry about. He was likely going to be suspended from scholarship for a semester. His dad refused to pay out of state tuition for a semester, and Cam had no choice but to go home. His dad also claimed that Cam would not get a fair chance to start while Brantley was here. (maybe, maybe not). If the accusations of cheating on 2 papers is true, it explains a little more to me why Cam left. As for blaming the leak on someone at UF, you also have to look at Bama, Miss. St. and LSU. Bama because they hate Auburn, Miss St. because Mullen knew Cam at UF and because of last week's $200k story, and LSU WR coach Billy Gonzalez was at UF when Cam was there. The student who allegedly had his paper missing and turned up with Cam's name on it is a possible source. Everyone who had anything to do with the case being put together for the student conduct hearing is a possible source. Meyer has more important things to do this week. He and Cam got along even after Cam left. Cam said earlier this season he wished he could have stayed. What good does it do Florida for this to come out ? I don't see any benefit from UF putting this out. Doyel and Evans are attention whores and I don't believe everything I read on the internet.
Doyel has already backtracked...http://www.sportsgrid.com/ncaa-football/cam-newton-cheating-gregg-doyel/ "To be fair, while someone at Florida apparently leaked Cam Newton’s records, I have no idea if Urban Meyer was behind it. No idea at all." http://twitter.com/greggdoyelcbs/status/1978737532862464 makes no sense
these links tell you more about what kind of guys Thayer Evans and Gregg Doyel are.

Newton, considered the front-runner for the Heisman Trophy, attended Florida in 2007 and 2008 before transferring to Blinn College, a junior college in Texas. He first violated Florida’s student honor code by cheating in a class during his freshman year, according to the source.

    ^^^^
I find THAT the most shocking thing in the whole article! Who woulda guessed FL had a "student honor code"?

I just don't see this as an issue. And honestly, I would think there would be some type of confidentiality laws with a college releasing this information, so if I were Cam Newton, I have my lawyer file a suit against Florida today.
File for what? Telling people that he is a cheater and a thief? This is an example of the frivilous lawsuits that ruin our country.

Typical liberal mentality folks, theives and cheaters are okay in our society and " We just should not see an issue here."

Florida should have canned him as soon as he was caught cheating on school work and became ineligible.

BREAKING NEWS: Mississippi State reported to the NCAA in January that Cam Newtons choice would be about money.

Cam's comments today practically admitted it. He did not deny a word. He said 'I'm not gonna beat a dead horse. I'm not talking about 3 months ago, not 6 months, but 2 years ago.' Well, the truth has come out because his stupid dad kept lying about Cam choosing to leave because Tebow came back. Today his dozen traffic tickets in Gainesville are on the net. They are calling him SCAM Newton. Too bad he is the subject of a smear campaign. Sports media is too much like politics nowadays. Rumors and hearsay and digging up dirt on people just to get attention on your blog and help your own biased cause. Gator Nation wished him well when he left, we still had John Brantley the triple legacy #1 recruit. Cam grew up, but some jerks with agendas are slinging mud like tabloid writers. The whole mess is disgusting. Its disturbing. Its distracting to college football fans, right in the heart of the season. Is it Saturday yet ?

Sad, but those are the things the Heisman voters want to know. They don't want egg on their face and have another vacated season as they did with Reggie Bush. Can't blame them either.

Put wings on the Heisman becuz it just flew out the window SCAM Newton. Terrell is right back in the hunt boys & girls (and by girls I mean Speedosand)
