I'm only guessing but...you listed the teams with those gaps to represent where Florida would be ranked if Rainey had been healthy? -

Yes, you have me outsmarted with the gaps between the teams. Which one of those gaps should be filled by Florida? -

This year, I agree. The Big Ten, Big 12 and SEC are about even. However, the last 5-10 years will influence how people perceive things. It will take more for people to view them as equals and that's just how it goes. It's not fair but it's reality.Cleveland Buck;539895 wrote:Boise won't get any help in the computers for beating Fresno State, and by the end of the year they won't get much help from Hawaii either. Hawaii's schedule is already a joke, and they still play three of the worst teams in all of Division I college football to end the year. They will get a little boost from Nevada, but if the human polls have a one loss Big Ten or Pac-10 close enough to Boise, they will pass Boise. They probably won't get close enough though. It is a disgrace that a one loss Big Ten team doesn't get the same respect that one loss SEC teams get. -

I think the Pac 10, Big 10, and SEC are about even..i think the Big 12 is a little below them. -

I really have very little interest in which conference is better than the other other than what you mention in perception. The SEC is currently going to get more quality votes because of it, despite this year seeing the gaps narrowed considerably. -

No. Even if Ohio State were to win out, you would have the SEC champion ahead of them, probably a second SEC team, 2 non AQs that Ohio State would beat by 3 TDs, the Big XII champion for some reason, and Oregon assuming they win out. -
lhslep134OrrvilleQB;540505 wrote:Will Ohio State move back into the top 5 this year?
I firmly believe so.
Auburn really hasn't beaten anybody worth noting (except maybe LSU who will have 2 losses after Saturday): considering how mediocre the SEC is from 3-12 this year if they lose to Alabama, IMO they fall behind OSU if OSU wins out. Here's what I see shaking out.
1. Auburn if they beat Alabama....if Alabama wins, Oregon
2. Oregon if Auburn beats Alabama.....if Alabama wins, Alabama will be here.
3. Winner of TCU-Utah Game
4. OSU if they win out
5. Boise
6. Wisco
For OSU to earn a trip to the title game, they need a lot of help from the polls, and they need the winner of the 'Bama/Auburn game to fall in the SEC title game. If that happens, I really see them jumping TCU and Boise for that 2nd spot because let's be honest, no college football pollster wants to see a non-AQ in the title game. -

I don't think so, but as long as they win out and get to a Jan. 1 bowl (or better), I'm okay with thatOrrvilleQB;540505 wrote:Will Ohio State move back into the top 5 this year? -
