Week 5: (2) Ohio State def. Illinois, 24-13

Tiger2003I don't mind Pryor taking a sack sometimes. He is trying to make a play by eluding a tackle and most of the time he does.

Nice open play by Dane there.
Whew, 14-10 Bucks.
The thing is, he often turns those plays into big gains when he does break the tackle. We have to take the good with the bad. -
WebFireThere is your Illibuck.

Tiger2003We need to find a guy who can put the ball into the endzone....letting teams start at the 30 all day is not going to cut it.

BigAppleBuckeyeIf anything, OSU has made MANY mistakes, and Illinois has made few, and somehow OSU is still winning this game.

darbypitcher22Hopefully we come out with a fire under our ass in the 2nd half... I just don't see the spark that we've had this year....
Of course, when we go to Illinois we always seem to struggle. Let's just get out of the 1st road game w/ a win. -

Yep, which reminds me of the 2006 game.
But, OSU needs other players to step up. Pryor can't do it all on the ground. -

Yeah, it feels like if the defense can force a turnover early in the 3rd, they can start to pull away. -
Tiger2003Honestly I'll take a 14-10 lead with how the offense played. I really think the Bucks will play a very good second half. The defense has played pretty good after the 1st drive where they gave up 52 yards and a touchdown 23 which came on a trick play. The next 5 drives the Buckeyes held Illinois to 71 yards and a FG but I put the FG on the offense.

BigAppleBuckeyeIn unrelated news, I hate that everytime the Big 10 Network (or really any network) shows OSU fans, we see this:

Big GainWithout TP Ohio State could be down by at least 17-0. O-line stinks, D-line not much better, a lot of missed tackles and Posey can't catch a pass.

They have mentioned the clouds four times, but haven't even noticed the OSU injuries. -
