I don't give a rats ass who you support, we can all agree to disagree amicably, or not. Just don't go postal when someone calls you out on why your opinion is what it is because you flat out say you hate their fan base...

    sorry to bruise your vag.

excellent job disagreeing respectfully and without other BS.

Exactly. His posts have been nothing but hypocritical. He obviously didn't get the memo about STUFing either.

Look it up yourself. Im not going to spend hours looking up things from the past few months.

    1. Big Ten
    2. Who cares?

Interesting fact for the BigTen haters. Currently 6 BigTen teams are ranked in both polls.

Interesting fact for SEC haters. Currently 6 SEC teams are ranked higher than the #3 ranked Big Ten team.
  • vball10set
I know it's all speculation, and it'll be interesting to see who ranks where at the end of the season....but I'll bet the teams from both the SEC and Big Ten will be ranked higher than any independent.

So clearly the SEC is #1 and BigTen is #2.

Very astute observation. Also note this is a rank the conferences thread. Independents aren't in conferences.

I'm not saying the SEC is #1 or the Big Ten is #2, just pointing out interesting facts like you did.

I just wanted to check out a theory, and I was right--thank you :o

The same people who are citing this fact, are also the same people who are claiming Michigan is a joke and will be lucky to make a bowl game this year.

Note: I am not saying you are part of that group.
  • vball10set
for the record, there's no doubt in my mind that tsun will be in a bowl this year, and more than likely a pretty good one too.

I would say the Big12 is a deeper stronger conference than the Big10 is currently. That will all probably change next year with the addition of Nebraska to the Big10. The Pac10 also had a pretty good showing against the Big 10 last weekend. Still lots of football to be played, and I'm sure this will all come up again come bowl time.
  • ptown_trojans_1
I'll add in the Pac-10 and would even say they are better than the Big 10 so far.
Oregon, Oregon St., Stanford, Arizona and Arizona St. have looked pretty good.
Oregon is explosive and has not lost a step since the Rose Bowl. Oregon St. looked good against TCU and can show what they are made of this weekend. Stanford and Luck have also looked really good, and can help their case against ND this weekend. Arizona shut down Iowa, the Big Ten's 2nd best team coming into the year. Arizona St. played Wisconsin, the Big Ten's 3rd best team coming into the year extremely closely and easily could have won.

Cal is typical Cal, hit and miss. USC is down, but still a tough challenge, Washington is not as good as thought, but Locker is still pretty good. UCLA and Washington St are really the only bad teams, and that brings down the conference, as they are really bad (even though UCLA beat a banged up Houston team)

I wouldn't say the Pac-10 is at the same level as the SEC, but I'd put the Pac-10 2nd right now, and closing the gap.

I wonder if those who ranked the Big 12 high are willing to retract that decision?

Texas was humiliated by UCLA, Oklahoma barely escapes Cincinnati and Nebraska was not overwhelming against someone they should have been overwhelming against.

The Big 12 should not be included in the top conferences.

Too early yet to determine who the best conference is lots of football left but, it is interesting to see how bias plays a part in peoples decision making.
