No it won't. VaTech isn't even a Top 30 program right now in my humble opinion. -

I don't think anyone is going to drop Boise State, but I would guess that OSU and Alabama gain almost all of Boise's first place votes -

I agree--I was inferring that it won't help Boise State's case in the coaches' eyes in their poll as the season progresses.believer;480851 wrote:No it won't. VaTech isn't even a Top 30 program right now in my humble opinion. -
rydawg5Florida State cant be in the top 25. Oklahoma may jump more people.

The computers will at some point now. -
bucks36Boise State's resume is going to be pretty ugly at the end of the year when they say the the Virginia Tech win is their biggest of the season.

Little DannyYou drop WVU after starting 2-0 but include Pitt who is 1-1 and looked unimpressive against New Hampshire? I realize that WVU pulled the Marshall game out of the rear, but a win is a win.

I have WVU at #26. The only reason I don't have them reversed is because I honestly believe Pitt's is a bit better. Plus Pitt narrowly lost to a very good Utah team. WVU struggled to beat a Marshall team that Ohio State destroyed. Semantics I know but I calls em as I sees em. -

As a WVU fan, all I have to say is "Eat shit, Pitt." -

Pitt will never get to that next level with Wanny as their head coach. He can recruit them, but they will inevitably lose a game or two they should not (Ie. Bowling Green, North Carolina State, a bad Nebraska team, 3-0 to Oregon State in the Sun Bowl). I know that has nothing to do with how to rank them, history has just been against Pitt for winning the Big East when they have the best talent during his tenure. -
believer^^^Don't forget Ohio upset Pitt at Peden Stadium a few seasons ago too. But I know what you mean........

Just curious: why the big separation between Bama and OSU? OSU goes into Happy Valley last year and CRUSHES a GOOD PSU team (one that later beat LSU), and gets little love nationally, yet Bama wins a HOME game over a vastly-overrated PSU team with a freshman QB, and somehow they are the clear greatest team? -

Bama just looked flawless, even without their best player. No one could touch them right now in my view. Their line is great, backup RB is a stud, QB makes the right decisions, defense is fast and big up front and solid special teams. They are the most complete team right now, by far.
It's early though and that may change, but after two weeks, they are head and shoulders above everyone else. -
