Evan Turner 'dominates' AP Player of the Year voting

bulldog8Heretic, sorry for the accusation. I have not interacted much with you on the message board and therefore am not familar with who you follow regarding favorite team/conference. If I anticipated your sarcasm, I would not have even posted that response. My bad.
Catsgonewild....Just because I am a fan of OSU and the Big 10 doesn't make me a "part" of the Big 10 or any team in the conference. There's a big difference between being a follower of a team/conference and being a "part" of a team/conference. It's one of my biggest pet peeves when fans say "we looked good today or we played well today." Fans don't participate in the scouting report, film study, game planning, and especially don't play the game so for a fan to claim they are a "part" of a team is somewhat asinine in my opinion. Each team has its members and each team has its fanbase - they are separate entities altogether. I was under the impression that Heretic was an SEC fan and was boasting about team SEC, which is why I fired back with the comment of MSU and the Big 10. Regardless, all is irrelevant since the National Championship matches ACC and the Horizon League. -
centralbucksfanWow, more SEC dillrods spewing their typical bullshit. Why does this not surprise me?
BTW, Turner won in a LANDSLIDE...exactly what I said would happen months ago.
Never really was any question who the best player in college basketball was this year and it really was never close. -

Proof of your first sentence I quoted? You said he was the best player all year but you never said by a "landslide".
As for the second sentence i quoted by you.........."it really was never close"? Thats funny, the first half of the year MOST people thought Wall would win it hands down. -
Thunder70Turner beat Wall for player of the year. Big 10 beats SEC. Does that count? Cause if it does, i'll take it...

Most people? No, most SEC homers maybe. Turner has been considered the best player for much of the year. All you have to do is look at the voting. Do you think all thsoe votes just happened at seasons end? lol . I believe Collins came in second in the Naismith award ....not Wall.
On top of that, Turner has won almost EVERY SINGLE individaul player of the year awards...soon to add the Wooden next week. Close? No....never was. But if you want to think differently to make yourself feel better..go right ahead. -

Sorry bud.....but you were the only one on this board who thought Turner was the best player half way into the year. Not just "SEC homers" thought Wall was the best, but everybody on this board. Turner played alot better at the end of the year and it made people think different. -

BTW, Turner was consistant from game one, thru game 30something. Thats why he won the award. He was as good from day one, till his last game. He wasn't playing any better at end then he did in the beginning. He was as consistant as anyone in any given game. -
SportsAndLadyHey at least I said it was close lol
