Evan Turner 'dominates' AP Player of the Year voting

AutomatikCongrats to Turner....well deserved.
Not surprised to see the local idiot show up in this thread. I'm sure he'll be laughed off of the forum again and resurface after a few weeks of hiding. -
UA5straightin2008surprised titus didnt get any votes

ptown_trojans_1I work in an office with college basketball fans from Duke, Maryland, North Carolina, Kentucky, UCLA, and Kansas. (Wide diversity I know). Nearly everyone in the office agrees that Evan Turner is the POY. Small sample size I know, but still telling that Buckeye fans don't have the blinders on.

AutomatikTurner literally brought it, produced, carried the team, EVERY GAME and he plays in a major conference. You absolutely cannot say that about any other player in the country. That is the reason for the larger margin.
Its obvious gibby is just being a hater to get people fired up. He doesn't really believe what he types. If he does then I just hope he doesn't have kids. -
sleeperBest player in college basketball, ain't no doubt about it, and you can take that to the bank.

I think he meant with turnovers. He almost averaged a triple double with turnovers, not assists.Keebler wrote: In 31 games, Evan Turner had 185 assists.
To average 10 assists a game, he would have need 310 assist.
310 - 185 = 125 assists.
125 assists is not almost/nearly/close to. If any announcer wants to argue that with me, I'll send them my e-mail address. -
AutomatikAlmost? lol.
4.4 turnovers a game. -
ZeroCoolanybody find it ironic that the poy is sitting at home along with all of the other first team all americans. why is this award voted on before the tourney? seems kind of stupid to me......

Because its regular season POY.ZeroCool wrote: anybody find it ironic that the poy is sitting at home along with all of the other first team all americans. why is this award voted on before the tourney? seems kind of stupid to me...... -
AutomatikBecause it is an individual award. Turner played well in every game, you can't fault him for his team not showing up.

77LegendGibby....Real men don't hate on another man as hard as you are doing. Straight up b!tch mode for real!

Yeah, dude...two fewer turnovers than assists per game really makes your joke fall flat. I mean, 4+ is closer to 6+ than 6+ is to 10, but still...weak sauce, dude.Automatik wrote: Almost? lol.

But I can understand. The tournament loss to Tennessee was TEAM SEC's only encounter with Ohio State, so this sort of misconception must be expected. -

Regardless of what happens in the Final Four, Turner is/was a lock for POY. It wasn't even remotely close.ZeroCool wrote: anybody find it ironic that the poy is sitting at home along with all of the other first team all americans. why is this award voted on before the tourney? seems kind of stupid to me...... -

The joke...is you, for not getting it. Team SEC? Lol. Easy to say when Ohio State loses, yet again, to another SEC school.Heretic wrote:TheMightyGators wrote:I think he meant with turnovers. He almost averaged a triple double with turnovers, not assists.

Interesting though that Team SEC is all sitting at home this weekend, just like the Buckeyes. Coincidentally, MSU (of the Big 10) is still standing. Sorry, but team SEC wasn't able to out-muscle the Big 10 this year.Heretic wrote:TheMightyGators wrote:I think he meant with turnovers. He almost averaged a triple double with turnovers, not assists.

detectivegibblesDidn't OSU beat Tennessee twice in 2007?
-
CinciX122007 was the NIT championship year. Ohio State only played Tenn once and lost that game.
2006 is the year you were thinking of. -

The joke is really you brushing it off when you get called out for obviously talking out of your ass. -

I guess you are just as big a moron. Me bringing up the turnovers, as part of a triple double, was a joke. It was believable by you two morons, because Turner did in fact turn the ball over a lot!Automatik wrote:TheMightyGators wrote:

if you are going by the calendar year it was in the fall when those seasons started, then yeah.CinciX12 wrote: 2007 was the NIT championship year. Ohio State only played Tenn once and lost that game.
2006 is the year you were thinking of.
but when it comes to the year in which the majority of the season and tournament was, then no
06 2nd round (Georgetown)
07 national runner up (Florida)
08 NIT champs
09 1st round (Siena)
10 sweet 16 (Tennessee)
OSU played and beat Tenn twice in 06-07, both games were in 2007 (January 13 and March 22) -

Basically you are saying you are apart of team Big 10 now? Whats it matter if MSU made it, you are a bucks fan and on top of that the bucks got beat by a SEC team. How do you have room to talk?bulldog8 wrote:

Where in that post do I indicate that I am apart of the Big 10? Please enlighten me. It doesn't matter who beat who in the first couple rounds because all are in the same position now. Regardless of records, all the Big 10 and SEC teams are in the same boat in that they will be watching the National Championship tonight instead of playing. I brought MSU up because Heretic mentioned TEAM SEC. If we are going to mention a conference as one big team, then it's ironic that MSU of the Big 10 beat Tenn, even though Heretic was using TEAM SEC to boast an SEC win over the Buckeyes. Sorry man, but I stay loyal to the entire conference come tournament time. Once the Buckeyes got knocked out, I cheered for MSU because I like to see the Big 10 do well. That's why it matters to me that MSU made it.cats gone wild wrote:

You forgot the word "team" before Big 10 in your first sentence on accident.......but you just showed you are a part of team b10 if that's the same stuff SEC fans get accused of in bowl season. -

Uhhh...dude...that was me being sarcastic about the way some SEC fans act like their conference is one big team...not boasting a win by TEAM SEC. SMH...bulldog8 wrote:
