East Canton advances to the Regional vs. the Howland District winner.
East Canton found its shooting touch that had been missing it's first 2 games of the tournament. Zell Bradley 14-28 from the line as well. -
sonnyblackWhen you have a chance to expand your lead throughout the game by going to the line, you need to make them. Campbell missed a ton of free throws tonight which eventually came back and cost them this game. Give East Canton credit, they didn't panick when they were down. With Campbell consistantly missing free throws, they hung around and eventually got the lead (and they made their free throws). I didn't see the same defensive tenacity from Campbell that they displayed against CCC and EP, and offensively too much 1-on-1 in the second half.
Even though they came up short tonight, it was a good season for Campbell. How many teams can say they have played in 5 straight district championship games. Note: The Devils have a solid core returning next year.....
Congratulations to East Canton! -
futbol4everCampbell was totally out of rhythm offensively the last three quarters. 11-23 from the line certainly doesn't help, including missing the front end of five one-and-ones. Bradley was 14-18 at the line. 22 points, 11 rebounds, six steals, five assists. Williams had an awful shooting game.

cmhs_prideCompletely out of their game tonight and bottom line...East Canton deserves credit for being able to do that. They are not a better team than Campbell. I am just being honest. But tonight...they were and tonight counts. Hats off to them.
The Devils after the first qtr could not find a rhythym and the free throw shooting was beyond bad. How many times does number 22 run open like that? At what point do you realize he is killing you? After he makes his 5th three???
Oh well. It happens and now you get some time off to reflect on the positives this season. There are plenty of teams out there that would love to have the success of Campbell basketball. Next year will be no different. Won't be surprised if they end up back there again next year.
