I played at Dalton's junior high. Easily the smallest court I've ever played on, including Shreve Elementary's old gym.

as far as jr high's go, jeromesville middle school is not much if any bigger and Dalton's floor is in much better shape.

I remember Northwestern's you had a line in the court that you could step up to pass the ball in.

Hillsdale scrimmaging Triway tomorrow. Triway was originally scheduled to scrimmage Ashland, but their football team is playing Friday night. I won't be able to make the scrimmage tomorrow (Dover v. Steubenville football game @ Fawcett), so I hope someone can give a rundown. Thanks!

is paullin still out for basketball for the Falcons? If so, that is a big blow to them as he was their best guard - not that they still don't have talent there.
  • thePITman
Paullin is a great athlete and competitor, and not having him will be a big blow, no matter who replaces him. Hopefully he is healthy and decides to play.

Was anyone at the Hillsdale/Triway scrimmage last night? Care to fill me in?

Heard Smithville looked really good at Copley in a 4 way scrimmage with New Philly and Wooster. "Smithville was just way better than everyone there" .. Sounds like good news :)

Unless they had some kids not go out, they were going to be pretty good this year, actually. They were talented last year but played lots of Juniors. And their best player was a Sophomore. However, they struggled against Tuslaw last week in a scrimmage, too, which was puzzling.

And I finally got word on the Triway/Hillsdale scrimmage. It went very well... for Triway.

are all the hillsdale football players back? I realize they would have had very little practice.
How are the Tiatans looking this year pitman?

We will be OK (probably 14-6ish). Probably 2nd or 3rd in the PAC (behind Timken, obviously). I forgot that Hillsdale won their week 11 game. We made the playoffs too, but we lost our first game. Scrimmage results don't matter... just what you take out of them. :) Good luck to Hillsdale, until early March!

It was a good, competitive scrimmage this morning between Rittman and Triway. Both teams won 4 quarters, alternating the whole way. Rittman plays lots of kids and is pretty quick, pressures well, shoots from the outside pretty well, and finishes well. Triway won the first 4 quarters 57-52 and the 2nd 4 quarters 59-55. Good luck to the Indians during the regular season!

Northwestern beat Heath 65-49 in the Corey Cline Foundation game.
  • WCAL
thePitman, Who did the scoring for Rittman? Didn't they lose pretty much all their scoring from last season? I know the gasser boy is back, but who else was scoring for them? Should be a good match up this week between us and the Titans. Go Huskies
  • thePITman
Two of Rittman's starters had the same number; and they played a lot of kids... So I cannot really say who their leading scorer was. They didn't have any studs or anything, but all played solidly and well together.

cmon one dawg - you can't beat some hardwood action in the cold weather! Good to see you here. How did everyone's scrimmages go? (for whatever they are worth, and that's not much).

The DIII Wooster district web site is almost complete! It's been updated to include all the correct teams for this year. I began entering schedules tonight. I got 24 entered, out of 83. I should have everything completely set for opening night this Friday!

Please check out my site and let me know of any corrections that need to be made. This monotonous, tedious work makes it easy to have a typo. Thanks!

Is anybody interested in being part of our text message update ring? I can give at least halftime and final scores, and most the time I can give quarterly. PM me, and we can exchange cell phone numbers.
