oops....I am a bit run down, so I didn't feel like making the trip to the burg anyhow.

was at the game. Let me just say I was VERY impressed with the Strasburg faithful. Very classy response to Seger and the Hiland crowd. Compared to another school's treatment of a similar transfer a couple years ago, this was the othetr end of the spectrum. made me a Strasburg backer whenever they don't play us.
Having said that, i must say the t-shirt idea above IS kinda cute, tho don't know that i saw any tonite. But we were packed in there pretty tight and easily coulda missed them.
As for the game, thought Hiland played well. Very team oriented and unselfish play. If they keep that up they will be very hard to beat. Keep it up guys.

Hiland wins 72-44. Everyone acted with class. A packed house and not one idiot to be heard from. Occasionally some mild booing that was it. Strasburg played very hard.

You will have to have your own made up. My wife and I sat right next to the Strasburg Students. Not one to be found.

Perhaps yours could also include a picture of this "apartment" you keep telling us about.

Very classy by Strasburg!! It was an uncomfortable situation to be in. Fans and friends of Seger. Kudos to the Tiger fans and students for taking the high road!! GL Tigers from here on out.

This is great to hear...glad there were no incidents.

c'mon wes..........why would you expect anything else?????????????????????? ;)

kudos Strasburg......you guys are top shelf! good luck

    Burg fans were classy.

Hiland is very unselfish, deep, skilled, etc.

So proud of Dylan. He draws all the attention and lets his team mates do the scoring. He had one of his best games last night and scored 6 points.

couldn't agree more Pariah. Burg fans very classy. And Dylan had a great game. He will have nights when he gets his 20 points, but when he facilitates the offense and plays dee like that, makes the team that much more dangerous.
Expect to see more minutes out of Seger as well as he gets more plugged in to the system. His moves in the paint are at times unstoppable.

an addendum on the gym: nice gym, without a doubt. Would have been great if it were bigger; sure would have held more last night if there was room. I'm sure people were turned away. Would guess there will be a number of times that place will be sold out. But I imagine they were probably limited as to the size going by the district size?
It got quite warm by the end of thegame, but probably still 10-20 degrees cooler than the old place woulda been. And i didn't feel quite as cramped as the old place as well. I know a lot of people are partial to the "old "gyms: Strasburg's hole, hiland's hawks nest, etc. I for one am more than happy to see them gone.

really glad to hear everyone handled it with class. if Miller really didn't talk to his players about this situation, even more impressed. But somehow I have a feeling somewhere along the line it was made clear that a certain type of behavior was expected across the board.

I had a rough experience with some rowdy Burg fans back in 93-94...lol. We beat the then undefeated Tigers at their place in overtime. The floor was covered with people and fans were fighting...it was interesting to say the least....lmao

but that was Lakeland........................hahaha.........the good old days!!
  • Pariah
I think the biggest factor was Seger. This is just a genuinely nice kid. He stood and applauded the Tiger players as they were announced. The decision to transfer hurts, and our Tiger friends understandably didn't agree with that or like it, but I think they respect him for who he is as a young man.
