i dont pay attention to such exceptions. When I give something up it is from Ash Wednesday till Easter. No exceptions for me.Sonofanump wrote:
Lent consist of 40 days of which Sunday is excluded from those. The bishops have also given exceptions in the past for St. Patrick's day falling on Friday allowing beef on those days. Maybe they would allow for drinking on such a feast day?thavoice wrote: Neither. Gave up drinking for lent. -
Swamp FoxI've had green beer and it's no big deal. I would prefer an Irish beer.

Mr Pat
It's "St. Paddy's Day!" Sorry, a peeve of mine.KnightXC1 wrote: Usually have one Irish beer and a green beer for good measure. Then have to have my Irish Car Bomb as it wouldn't be St. Patty's Day without one.
Thavoice, you have my respect man. I'm not much of a drinker, but St Patrick's Day would be tough for me not to drink. I went with swearing and pop, can't imagine how tough it would be to give up drinking on March 17. Good luck, sir! -
