How much cash do you owe your parents

  • that_guy
    $0
I borrowed a few thousand from them during college, but paid that back in my first year after college.

    None of us can.

All we ask is for them to be the best parents possible, best provide as possible and that is payment in full.
    That's a great sentiment.

    They've earned?

I don't remember how much, but I owed for college and my first car. My mom didn't want me to pay anything back, but my dad insisted. So when I got my degree and got my first good paying job, I made sure I paid him back in full. What he didn't know was my mom was taking my payback money and secretly squirreling it away for me although I also didn't know it. lol She was mad at him for making me pay it back and this was her way to do what she thought was the right thing.

I know I'd never expect any $ repaid b/c I think like my mom. But I would hope my children would feel like GOON.

What I owe my parents isn't even calculable.

I think its one of the hardest things to do is get your finances in order.
Only if you get out of control to begin with. I have never found it hard to spend within my own limits.

GH, I am not entitled to shit. But things happen and you need to ask for help. Dad has 3 houses, 5 cars, 2 ex wives, and I ask dude for 500 for books and he can't do it? He was never actually around so the least he could have done was helped a brotha who was struggling at the time. If he wants to buy inate crap instead of helping his own kid out then so be it. Guess I will have to help my own kid and show him whats right and wrong.

More than it needs to be. My parents have helped all of us kids in one way or another and some more than the others. I've tried paying them back in large chucks and they wouldn't accept it. My goal is to have a check waiting for them with what I think I owe them and when they decline, I'm telling them to back their bags and we're going on a family vacation that they've dreamed of.

Or you could tell them to pack their bags and 'GTFO'!
