Kirk Hammett from Metallica - One & Fade To Black
  • David St. Hubbins
    Siege Engine by Buckethead

Also all his Aunt Suzie songs - Soothsayer, Sail on Soothsayer and Aunt Suzie are awesome

I love Metallica, definitely my favorite metal band, but I would say Kirk is somewhat overrated as far as guitarists go. If you play guitar, he does a lot of bs stuff in his solos, and there's not a whole lot left if you took away his whammy bar and wah pedal. James is hands down a better guitarist, he plays a lot of their better solos, and writes some of Kirks. They're both awesome though.

Glad to see at least one person mention Eddie Hazel.

Great, great player, who just got too messed up to really do much with his ability.

But, his solo album is an underrated gem. I found it on vinyl for cheaper than what it usually is, and didn't think twice about throwing the money down for it.

WNCX in Cleve plays it every Saturday at midnight-- they edit the line "or drown in my own shit" to "or drown in the FCC regulations." Pretty funny, but wrecks a good song

Vernon Reid from Living Colour is very underrated! One of the best out there!

Especially Satriani! Supposedly when he was a bout 14 and he heard Hendrix died, it was then that he decided to become a guitarist. He also used to teach the guitar and his two most famous students were,
Steve Vai and Kirk Hammett, so the guy definetly knows what he is doing!

Another one I loved - Hotel California - Eagles.
Have to also give props to Chuck Berry for Johnny B Goode
  • iref iump
Ted Nugent Stranglehold, then segueing right into Stormtroopin' is some of the best.
  • Falcon 1
How about the funkadelics with maggot brain

If you can teach Kirk Hammett, then you must be a hell of a guitarist.
