WOW, aren't you a tough guy. I gotta a family member that would certainly make you pray to some god. Takes alot of balls to say that from a keyboard......
Yea, the same way it took you alot of balls to threaten him w/ a family member of yours! Irony at it's best!

Hahaha. Yeah, dude's not even an Internet Tough Guy. More like the EVEN less cool Internet-Uhhh-I-Know-A-Tough-Guy class. I mean, C'MON MAN! This is an anonymous message board! You can at least PRETEND you'd be the one hypothetically smiting down Sleeper in Imagination Land...

Now as far as the prayer meeting invite, I think it is immaterial what religion he is. Its innappropriate, and I coach at a Catholic school.
+10, as usual C_O. If for no other reason than the coach's own protection. The minute he cuts a kid, or reduces playing time for a kid who is not attending meetings and replaces him with one who is (even if for valid reasons) he will get slammed.

Was in Texas last week to watch some top HS Girls soccer teams (public) . Each team does the Lord's Prayer as a group after the National Anthem. If I tried that at my school, I would be gone. Period. (Not that I would).

I would have no problem with it at all. A teachers religious leanings should have no effect in how you evaluate them.

Why not? Provided they fit the qualifications of any non-profit, I see no reason to treat them with exception just because they have religious affiliation.

Having said that, I think they need monitored extremely carefully, as I know some who seem more "for profit" than most "for profit" companies I've seen.

Interesting point, and one I've tried to articulate on several occasions. If we're keeping church and state separate, then let us be consistent.
buckeyefalls wrote: Anyways, in a way, churches do pay taxes. The employees still pay taxes to the government.
Actually, most pay VERY little in taxes. As the son of a long-time pastor, I can tell you that my father pretty much didn't pay taxes. Good thing, though, because he didn't make beans.

Why a family member, can't do it yourself? :)
Actually I can.....there are some of them that really enjoy that shit more than myself. Irony at it's finest eh?! But really, burn churches to the ground? C'mon guy.............
