thread not accepted

  Started 2 threads in the politics section. Neither was accepted. Who can explain this. Did not call anyone out or use improper language. It concerned political adds. Really kinda ticks me off if the reason the threads were banned was because of my beliefs. If in fact that is the reason................shame on the FREE huddle!

  It probably belonged in the Political Cartoons thread. I would check there. I've made the mistake myself.

  Or all threads could be allowed without having to be deemed worthy by two people who may or may not be online... In the mean time, any thread or post that needs removed could be taken down by any of the other moderators on this site

  Eh maybe. I don't know. I don't really venture there that often, I follow politics a little but I can't ever imagine myself or anybody else getting THAT butthurt over what some random, anonymous poster says on a message board.

  I remember the first night. We were "nominating" mods to be voted upon, and LJ was like "I'll take politics". I was the first one to respond "just let him have it, no one else wants it" and basically everyone agreed, and here we are.
  
  We had a pretty good thread hashing out the rules too, all giving input. The "approval" system is what keeps it from turning into the JJ Tea Party flame war clusterfuck.
  It's still by and large a Tea Party convention (I mean, it's the same people/ideologies from the old site), but at least people actually have to be responsible about it here.

  That would mean the rest of us moderators would have to spend what would be called "quality time" on the political board. If it wasn't for LJ (and later P-town) volunteering for this particular task, odds are that there wouldn't be a political forum because in the early days of this site, conversations concerning it went like this:
