2010 Winter Olympics--Vancouver, BC
-
ytownfootballOpening ceremony is set for February 12th @ 8:00pm
I tend to watch the Winter games more than I watch the Summer games, if for no other reason than being couped up inside. I, however follow the participants very little and know nothing of them prior to the games actually begining. Below is a link that has some pretty good coverage and a lot of info pertaining to the Winter games in Vancouver.

Other than the 1980 Olympic Hockey team winning the Gold, probably my favorite memory was the high flying, long jumping Ginger from Britain...
Eddie the Eagle...

End of LineMy favorite out of the two are almost here, this years mens hockey will most likely be the greatest clash of all time between Canada/Russia. I can't freaking wait!

power i
None taken. Everytime the olympics are on, I convience myself that certain sports look really easy and that I could easily learn how to do them. I believe I could also be a very good speed skater. Although those blades do scare me a little.stationrun wrote:

ytownfootballOther than the "broom guy" in curling, I've not been able to convince myself of being anything other than worthy of being a spectator.

Curly JI tend to like the Summer Olympics more, but I will watch a lot next week since I was 'forced' to take a week off after my surgery.
I too remember Eddie the Eagle in the Ski Jump. (last place and famous for it) -
End of Line
Not 100% it'll come down to Gretzky and Terry Fox's mother.gorocks99 wrote:
