UA5straightin2008so there is no rule regarding an offensive player going in it?
-
End of LineNot really. They have to stay above the crease or else it goalie interference I believe.
-
ohiotiger331999-2000 - Each team to play 25 home and 25 road games using the two referee system. Crease rule revised to implement a "no harm, no foul, no video review" standard. An attacking players position, whether inside or outside the crease, does not in inself, determine whether a goal; should be allowed or disallowed. The on-ice judgment of the referee(s) - instead of video review - will determine whether a goal is good or not. Also regular season games tied at the end of three periods, will result in each team being awarded one point in the standings. As before there will be a five minute sudden death overtime when the score is tied after three periods, but each team will play "four on four", with four skaters and a goaltender. In the vent that penalties dictate that one team has a two man advantage, the penalized team plays with three skaters, while the team with the two man advantage adds a fifth skater. A team scoring in overtime will receive one additional point in the standings.
I remember prior to 2000, when the rule was- If your skate entered the crease before the puck, the goal could be reviewed and called off.
The rule now is at the discretion of the Refs, but Goaltender Interference is rarely called. -
darbypitcher22I didn't get to watch any of the curling... was kind of disappointed... unfortunately if its on in the early afternoon hours I'll be missing it all

gorocks99Nice start for Team USA hockey -- 3-1 win is nothing to sneeze at.

Our women's hockey team is up on Russia right now 12-0 with 2 minutes left in the SECOND period on MSNBC right now. -
UA5straightin2008damn jacobellis f'ed up again
-
Gardens35yeah, tough stroke of luck for her
-
ou1980Is she still young enough to compete in 2014??? My God what a disappointment.
Colin Cowherd said these snow boarders shell out over $50,000 A YEAR on snowboarding lessons, training simply for the olympics, and she blew it 10 seconds into the race.
How do you sleep at night? -
Gardens35I thought I heard yesterday that she is 22 or 23 now. I don't know what the prime competition age is for that event, but 26 or 27 can't be too far out.
-
NOL fanthe guy who won gold in the men's snowboard cross is 33
-
End of LineCanada wins over Norway 8-0 (Iginla with a hat trick)
Russia wins over Latvia 8-2 (Ovechkin with 2 goals.) -
FairwoodKingI think NBC really sucks. I didn't know it was possible to put that many commercials in one hour of programming. The only thing worse than NBC is the Canadian Broadcasting Company. They aren't covering the Olympics at all this year. I get the CBC channel out of Vancouver and I was looking forward to their broadcast, but it just didn't happen.
NBC has only done two things right, and they both involve figure skating. First, they finally put a muzzle on Scott Hamilton and Sandra Bezic. Scottie in particular is a babble mouth. He knows what he's talking about, but he has always shared too much of his knowledge during the performances. He has been much better this week, so I assume someone finally told him to shut up. The second thing is that they took Dick Button out of the commentating booth and just allow him to give his perspective after the skating has taken place. He is another one who has always talked too much. Skating mistakes don't have to be broadcast. They are either so glaring that everyone in the place can see them, or they are so subtle that even the judges have to review the tape. At any rate, the figure skating has been a lot more pleasant for me during these events. -
End of LineCTV bought the rights to broadcast the games over CBC.
NBC needs to put the Canada/USA game on NBC. That game will get huge ratings, but the Women will bitch and complain. -

Maelle Ricker, the Canadian who won the women's snowboard cross is 31. Therefore, if Jacobellis, 24, continues competing professionally I'd think she'll get another shot @ the 2014 Winter Olympics.Gardens35 wrote: I thought I heard yesterday that she is 22 or 23 now. tk421Those skiers totally face planted. That looked like it really hurt.
-
UA5straightin2008this speedskating relay is goofy how they push eachother
-
LJ
you are correct. Their subtitling sucks because they kept putting up the text "semi final" during the race. Which is why I have been confused for the past hour or so.tk421 wrote:
