  I will also vouch for the Blizzard of 1978. Unbelievable! I was a junior in HS and my boyfriend drove into town on his snowmobile to get me on the third day of being trapped in the house with nobody but my parents! Urrgghhh. Seriously though, it was really bad.

  I can remember the blizzard of 1978. I was just a kid so it was cool for me. Snow drifts up to the roofs of my parents cars. Drifts half way up our front door. We lived out in the country so we had to wait days to get our road cleared. I remember they had to bring in an industrial loader to dig us out.

  Why do those pictures look so old? That blizzard wasn't that long ago, I remember it like it was yesterday. Ugh, that's depressing.

  I love the pictures of 605 in Delaware county where the snow piles from the clearing the roads combined with the drifts from the miles of flat farm fields make a 1 lane tunnel with sides about 12-14 ft high.

  I've got the truck running, warming up and melting the snow off. I'llbe out having fun tonight. If I can find my tow straps I will go out and be a good samaritan and spend my evening pulling people out of ditches.

  So technically then there is actually a chance of them closing classes, since it has happened before.

  Just took the truck for a spin. With 450 lbs of salt in the back I was getting decent spin in 2wd, mind you I have 33" mud tires on the thing too, so yeah, it's slick out already.
