What's "sleeper-ish" about popularity != quality? Seems like a fairly straightforward truth to me.Raw Dawgin' it;1233745 wrote:Sounds like a Sleeper argument... -

Who is the most "USA American" Olympian of all time? - I'll say Jenner, who parlayed his 15 min of fame into a lifetime gig. Nothing more American than making the most of opportunity.DeyDurkie5;1233750 wrote:I'm more USA American than you are. Start an ESPN poll and prove me wrong, bitch. -

Rulon Gardner duh. I agree with this. My list would look like this:OneBuckeye;1233380 wrote:Ohio State Michigan.
IMO school rivalries High School and College have much deeper roots and a longer history than any other pro rivalry. With the exception of the MLB, they do have history, but rivalries like NY v Boston and St Louis v Cubs don't have the intensity that CFB and High School Football can bring on a single friday or Saturday in the fall.
OSU/UM
Ala/Aub
Army/Navy
OK/Tex
USC/ND -

Disagree. Toronto v Montreal.The_Crosby_Show;1233675 wrote:As for hockey it's either Penguins/Flyers or Bruins/Canadiens -
ohiobucks1How can you guys say that Rangers vs Celtic isnt up there.
It's not just "soccer". It's religion. And not just religion. It's also nationalism ( Irish Scots vs Native Scots), Political (Loyalists vs Republicans). It would literally be like if in the USA every single Democrat + Protestant + Immigrant (assuming we could ever get everyone to be all 3 of those) vs Republican + Catholic + Nativist followed 2 separate teams and then decide to just attack eachother before during and after the game.
I think Real vs Barca is 2a and Boca vs River is 2b (for layley) -

The map votes are the worst. -

Until Bugs Bunny proved it wasn't.
