My question is what is their legal status, are they counted as two or one person? Because if they're counted as two, then the government is condoning only those with brains count as people. I mean, if one head was mounted atop two bodies, despite being more of two people than them, would still only get one vote, one assistance, etc, right?

And if the government is opening up to "brains == people", that just opens up so many new issues, to me.
Separate driving licenses, so I'm guessing the government considers them two people. Which they are if you watch the documentary. Totally different personalities.

And yes, they drive. I think I'd drive into a tree or lake accidentally if I saw them driving down the road...momma told me no to stare, but that would be like a driving circus.

Some interesting data on the conjoined Hensel twins.

    Per Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abigail_and_Brittany_Hensel):

    1. They're 22 years old.
    2. Each twin has a separate heart, stomach, spine and spinal cord.
    3. Each twin controls her half of their body, operating one of the arms and one of the legs.
4.Upon their birth, their parents rejected the option to attempt surgical separation after hearing from doctors that it was not likely that both girls would survive the operation.
    5. Organ Distribution:
[h=3]Organ distribution[/h] Abigail and Brittany have individual organs in the upper part of their body, while most of the organs located at or below the level of the navel are shared, the exception being the spinal cord.[SUP][2][/SUP]

I'm not sure I see that as a problem. Mind with two bodies is still just one, very lucky or unlucky (depending on how you look at it) person.

These girls could drive while giving road dome.
