I think that it does become different when you become a home owner.

It wasnt until I bought a home until I really got into trying to make it look as nice as I could. Before that....really didnt care. Just something about the upkeep is enjoyable, and doing the little things kinda shows an attention to detail. I dont water it though because of the cost, but always try to keep it looking nice and plush with fertilizer, turfbuilder and such when the weather cooperates.

How could you lie and say you don't care about curb appeal????

    I agree with CoA though.

Planted grass in fall and spring. You think I'm Dr. Emmit Brown?

I figured it is the hottest part of the day so the grass must really need some water and cooling down during that period.

I also know that people lose alot of salt when it is hot and when they sweat so I plan on putting some salt down in the yard today to help it retain some of the water I am putting on it.
lol Be careful how much salt you use, don't want the grass to get hypertension!

That's the worst time to water. You're just wasting water. It evaporates before it even soaks the soil. Best time is early morning.

Are you using G2? Dont want your yard to become obese, I hear that's abig problem in the states now. They say obesity also leads to diabetes, could get awful expensive treating your yard with insulin.

I generally feel the same way, but everyone else in our neighborhood waters, so we feel the need to keep up. You don't want to be the one person in the neighborhood with dead grass.

My yard is dry. A male grasshopper was calling in a lady hopper last night....rubbed his legs together and caught my lawn on fire.

    Horny hoppers suck.

    Yeah I prefer bouncing beavers

Watering the lawn is a really silly endeavor IMO.

Just had a new sidewalk put in and the curb lawn, from the sidewalk to the street, had stumps that had to be ground down, mulch removed and new grass seed put in so, yes...I've at least been watering that part of the lawn.

I know dude. Your sarcasm meter musta been broke!

Last time I put any water on the yard was at the end of May, and it rained that next day. Same thing happened this past weekend. Thursday night I watered the grass area where the dog normally is at and then it rained the next day.
