  The concept actually came from a toy, but of course it has to be made into racism. In a world where everyone claims they want a end to racism, making this a racist situation does nothing to advance that claim.

  He has also done collections for Adidas in the past and it's usually more of the same. Some that look good and some that look bad, but all of them have a fun, whimsical theme to them. I don't believe he was trying to make a "racist, slave shoe" but I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion.
  
  Either way. they are ugly. So it's probably good they aren't being produced.

  I'm not even sure why it should be perceived this way. My first thought, in total and complete honesty, was prisoner or convict. My thought? "Yeah, there's not enough of THAT in the NBA already."

  Maybe. Personally I'd find it inexcusable for people in the business of marketing and selling a product to miss this.
