What is your favorite dog?

  • Mr Miyagi
I used to raise Siberian Huskies when I was younger. Have had 3 Rottweilers that were great dogs. I currently have a rescued English Coon dog who is a pretty good hunter.

it would cost you an arm and a leg during those 8 years too. Lots of problems

I like Yorkies and Labs but am a fan of almost any breed of dog, including mutts.

    I own a Yorkie/Dachshund mix. He's the best ever.

I have a friend in utah with a kennel that breeds them. Most of the bad traits has been bred out of the ones he is raising now. Although the folds is still a problem. He has some that are 12-15 years old now. If you find the right breeder you can get one that has most of the bad health traits bred away.

How does that work? Just make sure they only breed with dogs that don't have the problems, I guess?

Yeah. You just try to breed as pure and healthy as possible.

I grew up with Basset Hounds. Usually we had 3 of them at a time.

Not sure if they are my favorite or not, but they are as cute as they are dumb (which is very).

Lady D'Friskies raises Cavalier King Charles Spaniels - we currently have four of them (one male, three females). Wonderful little critters - lively, but not hyper, and very affectionate. NOT good guard dogs, however. :D

My favorite breeds are English Bulldogs and Irish Wolfhounds.

I don't have any dogs right now because I don't want the responsibility.
  • Con_Alma
    Chesapeake Bay Retriever

I don't currently own a dog. I'm not home enough.

It's a long ways out, our two dogs are both under 5 years old, but when the time comes that we are ready to get another dog I am leaning towards a Airedale terrier. Majestic bastards.

Boxers for sure. Girlfriend has a little beagle. Not a bad dog, but annoying at times.
