Incorrect, it's a quality control flaw in the justice system based on human error. Rape in jail is a quality control flaw as well, based on the human error of failing to monitor.

Being held in the holding cell was not the stated punishment. Being raped in jail is not the stated punishment.

    Try again, please.

I once had ACDC in my sig. I hope you were smart enough to realize I wasn't really driving my car on an actual highway to Hell.

    Try again, please.

oh it's a quality control flaw in the justice system? gotcha. those guys were tried and sent to jail for their actions. This guy was being held in a jail cell and being completely forgotten about by the people watching him. Completely different than inmates raping inmates. Just stop.

You have no argument to dispute my post.

All you have is an opinion on how someone wasn't treated fairly. Yet, you fail to account for that someone's actions leading to the end result.

It's typical based on posts I've seen from you - blame someone else. Carry on. I won't argue against your opinion.

LOL typical of my arguments? You are comparing rape of convicted inmates, to leaving an innocent until proven guilty person left for dead in a cell for 4 days. We can agree to disagree, but you are just a jackass in general. So carry on.

There should be multiple people fired and charged with criminal negligence and/or civil rights violations for this.

Even if he had murdered someone in front of the DEA and this was our way of punishing that the DEA would still be wrong because they are not the punishment end of the justice system. It is not their job or right to dole out punishments. Especially so in this case when it was entirely unwarranted and illegal (yes you dolts, even if he did something far worse than smoke pot).

Isn't there a 48 hour limit to be held without charges or something? Unless they try to pull some Patriot Act bullshit or something.
I Wear Pants;1160177 wrote:You know what we do in that case? Charge the person with a crime and try them in court.
you are confusing what punishment is again. him sitting in jail for 4 days was not punishment, but a really big fuck up. when people commit a crime, they are arrested, they sit in jail until they goto court or post bail.

Late to the party but these seemed relevant:

Fifth Amendment---No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury....nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law

Sixth Amendment- In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, ...... and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.

Eighth Amendment---Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

Define "drop in". Is that where you make a post right after a succession of posts you've made in the last ten minutes?

    So dynamite fail bro.

Then everyone involved in this needs to lose their jobs permanently and be charged with a crime. You do not get to fuck up that bad when you are an authority figure.

I have no patience for people in positions of power that are either willingly or ignorantly abuses of that power. Just like the military if society expects me to give organizations like law enforcement more respect/power than any other job then they need to be as close to perfect as possible and when people fuck up they need to be punished hard. Tired of seeing nothing being done in result to abuses of power.

You say when people commit a crime they are arrested and sit in jail. You forgot to say except for cops, who get paid leave or unpaid leave if it's really bad and then some sort of suspension or something.

I dont disagree that heads should roll for this.

When a cop is arrested, he can't keep getting paid etc. So administratively he would be suspended until he is found guilty then fired. He would still either sit in jail, post bond, or be released and given a summons in lieu of arrest. all of those are common even with non police officer arrests.
