  • LJ
At Creekside in Gahanna on the way to the 4th of July fireworks.

    Yes I asked her dad

Purpose? are you fucking kidding me??
  • THE4RINGZ
I told her her purpose was to make me a sandwich whenever I want one.

I didn't ask her dad for permission, but did tell him my intentions. He appreciated it. I did it on a hike in the woods

I would never marry someone who didn't have enough respect for my father to go to him first. Then again, I wouldn't date them in the first place.

It depends on the relationship between father and daughter.

I asked her at the place we first met. Of course I asked her dad.

I have zero respect for my wifes alcoholic father. So why should I ask him first?

Sunset in Key West on Valentines Day with the rest of the freaks at Mallory Square :) The only problem was as usual... frickin Mother Nature! It was raining so I almost didn't pull the trigger because it wasn't perfect. But, I figured it just felt right :)

By the way... no ring involved. I had been in Florida for a few weeks before she got to Florida and I decided to do it during that time frame. I wanted to pick out the ring together since I had no clue what she would like.

What the hell does that have to do with respect? Don't you have like twelve kids to different daddies? Maybe instead of spewing cliche BS about respect, you should start respecting yourself.
  • iluvz
No, I do however have about 12 kids who all basically live in my home whose own parents chose not to raise them.

I said earlier that I didn't ask...but in retrospect I wish I would have because it would have been a nice touch.

Now even though I didn't ask, I have been a loyal, devoted husband to his daughter for over 30 years, and togeher we have acheived a high standard of living and have 3 wonderful, trouble-free children who are well on their way to being self sufficient.

Do you think my father-in-law gives a shit that I didn't ask his permssion?

I'd rather have the government take care of them then someone who thinks respect is derived from asking a grown woman's Dad if said person can marry his daughter.
