What days/hours do you work and what do you do?
-
Fab1bI know we have done this before but why not again and I'm bored. Changing my days/hours here starting next week to Sun 10a - 8pm, M - W 1pm - 11pm. I love 4x10's. I worked that shift for years in my company until about 2 yrs ago when we shut down my dept. on Sundays but business need has brought the need for Sunday coverage again. The past two years I have worked M - Th 1 - 11pm which I loved as well. Thank god for my slingbox on my phone though on Sundays so I can still catch the NFL games!
Edit and what do you do? I work for a major insurance campany and maintain staffing for some of our call centers located in Jacksonville, FL, Bloomington, IL, and El Paso, TX. -
justincredibleI can get in to work any time before 9:30am and leave 8 hours later (9 if I take a full lunch).
-
hoops23I work in retail pharmacy. Hours aren't bad. We have 3 shifts, 9-5, 10-6, and 1-9.
I do 1-9 once a week and that's usually Wednesday. I'm hoping to get a hospital job within the next year. I'm eyeing the Cleveland Clinic, though I've been told they're pretty much a revolving door. -
THE4RINGZI work in sales. So my hours vary. During our peak season (March - November) I average 12 hours a day and 3 or 4 hours on Saturday.
-
Fab1bI also officiate HS wrestling in FL and have done so for the past 14 yrs.
-
SonofanumpMonday thru Friday unless I am on special assignment. Flexible hours, just enough to get the job done during normal business hours. Not sure what it is I actually do, but I do it well.
-
dwccrewI work for an oil refinery so we have a rotating swing shift schedule (12 hour shifts). Generally it is something like this (not including overtime): 3 days on, 2 days off. Then 2 night shifts, 3 days off. Then 2 day shifts, 2 days off. Three night shifts, 2 days off. 2 days shifts, 3 days off. And it continues like that. Any day you work that is not a scheduled day is ot. So you can make a shit load of money working multiple 12 hour unscheduled shifts at time and a half in one week. If you work 7 days in a work week it is double time. I love the oil business.

GoChiefsManufacturing. I work 10:30 pm to 6:30 am Monday thru Friday, but we have worked Saturday too every week since New Years, and I volunteer to work every other Sunday as well.
-
OSHCollege soccer coach.
I can set my own hours in the office, somewhat. I am usually in there by 8-9:30am and then depending on practice will be there into the early evening. Recruiting can make for late nights and many roadtrips. Weekends are always busy. Summers are pretty open, unless I work camps and that depends on how I want to do those. -
Commander of AwesomeM-F 730-4 unless I need to work OT. Pretty fucking sweet schedule. I work in finance dealing mainly with databases.
-
SportsAndLadyA bank. 9-6 M-F, saturdays whenever I want to come in.
Tomorrow's actually my first day at the branch and not training/shadowing -
ptown_trojans_17:30AM -6:00/6:30 PM M-F usually. I sometimes work on the weekend. I'm in the Defense Contracting industry, so hours are long, and usually busy. Right now, my projects include working with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command and Army Corp of Engineers.

I work M-F 8-5. Work weekends at a tree farm if I feel like it. If not I can skip it. I used to work 10's where I am now when I worked in the factory (2:30-1am.) Loved the money and the work, hated not having a life. I'm in the office now as an accountant, and can't complain about a decent schedule. They're going to pay for my schooling so I'll call it a win. -
j_crazyI work 24 hours a day on a drilling rig in north dakota. I work 2 weeks on 2 off. I'm the company man, so i basically make all the calls and its my ass if things don't work.

I hate it and can't wait to be done with it. I just would rather be busy all the time then sit around doing nothing. I hate being bored.Fab1b;1130594 wrote:I so don't miss those days! Glad I served but I don't miss it! -
Fab1bHow much longer you staying in?
-
Ytowngirlinfla
I'm a 6 year contract. Have a little less than 3 years left. I'll probably go reserve. I may actually stay in for shore duty but doubtful depends on what the hubby does.Fab1b;1130599 wrote:How much longer you staying in? -
