I'm with you. I hate paying/going to the gym. Then having to wait for weights etc.. Total pain in the ass. I much prefer to work out at home and not deal with people's bullshit at gym. Things like taking forever in sets, not wiping down the machine, using fans to cool themselves off, etc...

I have never really lived more than 10 min from a gym so it worked for me. SOunds like you have a pretty nice setup that def is separate from the house. The issue that arises from alot of people who want to lose and get into shape is that they dont have the motivation or will power and that is why they are in the position they are in. If you dont have the motivation/will power it is much harder to have a setup at home and do it.

I think if a person is in shape, and uses a home gym to keep on going then they are more likely to succeed than someone who is trying to start from scratch. Even when I am in motivated state of mind I find it a bit harder to go down to they basement and do the workouts.

I prefer going to the gym myself. Almot more variety, ya have a sense of purpose when you are there and get the job done. OUr gym has been 24/7 ever since it opened 4 years ago and it was the only one in the area to do so. I regularly went in the off times and didnt have to wait.

Using the squat rack to do curls, standing in front of you in front of a mirror so you have to throw an 80 lb dumbbell at their head (sorry...Baldwin-Wallace days lifting flashback :p)

Over $30k in commercial equipment, 1000+lbs of free weights, a set of dumbbells that go from 5-130 lbs (Power Blocks), a treadmill and an elliptical. :D

I will say this though, and this is teh difference btween some of you and those who are starting out and trying.

You already have yourself a good routine and the will power to do it. It is much easier for you to do that than some person who is overweight, and buys some eqt to use at home. Those type of people are the ones that fail and end up unloading their eqt

I had this Schwinn upright back when I had a bigger apartment.

It did the trick, although I would much rather have the recumbent version. I bought it used for $100, I think around $300 new. I actually miss it. It was nice to be able to do cardio at home and not F with it at the gym.

I like upright > recumbent. I tend to feel too relaxed on a recumbent
