My question though, are there any wolves attacking the Seals? Because if not the movie really falls a few notches in realism.
It could be cool if they had wolves that were Navy SEALS.

Just spoke to my brother about the movie.
As I said before, he did 3 deployments in 5 years as SEAL.

He said it pretty damned good. I asked how accurate the action was and he said it was as close as he ever believes he will see in a movie. He said a couple of the scenes were a little bit overboard but for the most part was dead on what goes on.
He said the most unrealistic part was a minor one....that the same SEAL unit and guys getting all those missions is a bit far fetched but for movie purposes it is probably makes for a better flow. He thought though that the actual active duty SEALs may not have looked as if they were in, what he called, top Operator shape.

I am surprised he gave this the thumbs up. He thought they would hollywood it up and make it very unreallistic like many war movies, but it is his belief from his own experiences that this is as close as it will get without having actual live footage.

Let me get this straight....if someone didn't like this movie, that automatically translates into them having "0" respect for the service? LOL, and you say what Tiger and GD said was dumb? That is the stupidest ****ing thing I've read on this thread. The movie looks corny as ****. Looks like a bunch of action with no plotline. I guess those of us that served and won't like this movie have "0" respect for the service though. GTFO

    +1
As far as the plotline.....it does follow a number of different missions so in terms of having a traditional plotline it may lack in that. Missions build on one another, intel gathered at one can lead to another, just as it does in true combat. He said, as I stated already, it is an embelishment though that the same Team did all the missions, but thatt was just made for the movie.

Just can't watch War movies. Tried to watch one and just couldn't do it. I'm sure it is a good movie for people who have never been to maybe get an understanding I guess.

Fair enough. I was hoping it just wasnt a jarhead/squid thing ya know.
I am hoping to go see it soon after it opens. Sometimes our local theatre doesnt get all the new releases but I hope they do.

I havent heard anything from the Red Tails after it came out. They were pushing it pretty heavily and many on here thought it looked a little cheesey, as did myself. I havent heard anything about it.....so I almost have to think it isnt that good.

If anyone wants to watch a little bit of what it takes to become a SEAL, at least just the Basic Underwater Demolition/SEALs training, you can catch the 6 episode training from discovery called BUD/s Class 234. I have watched it a number of times. It is a 6 ep series during the 6.5 month long training they initially go through. After that they still have jump school, SEAL qualification training, Kodiak ColdWeather training before they are officially Team members. My brother liked the lifestyle for the most part. The biggest thing that sucked though was the constant travel in the US to train. He often said that on deployments he got to sleep in a same bed ffor longer periods of time than he did stateside. If most of the training would have been in the same general area to where he was stationed he may have stayed on longer, but he thought 3 deployments was a good number and he did his duty.
