I have a Samsung flat screen and my family has a Panasonic. I like the Samsung much more. The Panasonic might not be 1080p though, I'm not sure.

Belly go with the Samsung 55 inch 8000 series. It is one of the best if not the best TV on the market. 1080p 240 HZ. I have one in the living room and I love it. Great for watching sports because it has the 240 HZ compared to the 120 HZ.

A little different don't ya think...when comparing a job vs, a TV. The quality of a TV is completely unimportant vs the quality of a career. I would take longevity/reliability over quality, within reason, every time when it comes to something as unimportant as a TV.

Note: Samsung 7000 and 8000 (8000 is wireless computer w/ remote as the key board to be able surf the web on the TV) (7000 is hard wire laptop computer to TV)

I like to idea of the 8000 but not sure I would really use it… ????

What started as a simple 55 Samsung TV mounted over the fireplace is now the following:
Have to get rid of my present surround sound system and speakers (4ohm) and buy a “NEW” Surround Sound up graded to 8ohm that will work with the “NEW” DVD system I’ll have to get so the quality of the older VHS and CD movies on my “NEW” 55 Samsung will be of same same quality as viewing cable and be in surround sound.

New TV, Surround Sound, Speakers, DVD Player, Mounting Bracket and wiring and labor

I don't really have a problem with their installation services besides the price. So if you're cool with it do what you want.

Also since I only paid $200 for the Mount and them to come mount it I would not say that I overpaid.
