How big of a turkey are you cooking?

    chicken broth under the birdwhile roasting, roast upside down so the dark meat juices run over the white meat for better flavoring.......when its ready, i cut it up and it goes into a crock-pot, smothered in gravy...

    frees up the oven and time tomorrow morning. Also the Turkey is never dry....(and I know there are methods to produce a moist Turkey, but this has helped with convenience and oven space)

    Edit: it does not get smothered in gravy...it gets the juices from cooking dumped over the cut turkey, then cooled in fridge and warmed up tomorrow ....the gravy is put on the table ;)

    Where do you Americans see the weight on your turkey ? Do you put on a scale ? Miyagi just picks it up and cooks till tender........Beast, Miyagi's turkey is never dry..................

    Anyone ells think turkey is really not that good? you got to cover it with gravy and it is still dry. I think that if most people had to eat it more often then say once or two times a year (not including lunch meat) than people would not speak so highly of it. I mean it is not steak. Not even in the same ball park IMO.
