$100 sounds like dollars 100 where as 100$ sounds like one hundred dollars.

I agree that 100$ makes more sense. They got it right for cents (50¢ vs ¢50).

How many of you turned the cash in?

I found $20 blowing around on my way home from elementary school when I was a kid. My mom made me turn it in to the police department and alert the school. After 2 weeks of it being unclaimed, I was allowed to keep it.

$122 in the parking lot of a Heinen's grocery store. It was a rainy day, and I almost didn't bend down to pick up what I thought was just a dollar bill.

(happened just this past year too, actually)

Found 40 bucks. But it was in an old jacket. So it was mine to start with.

CLose to 60-70 bucks in QTRs. Was the first car I bought when I was 1. Took the old radio out to put in my CD player. Noticed a bunch of quarters behind and below the radio in the console. Dug them all out then noticed that under the carpet on the passenger side there was more. It was around 40 bucks at first, and then another 30 under the carpet.

For the life of me I have no idea how they would have gotten there. Wasnt any real spot for them to have fallen though or anything like that.

Not at all. If I found $20 now, I'd say fuck 'em....and I wouldn't tell my mom.

    Just asking the question.

Once, I was getting out of my car at the grocery store parking lot when I saw a wallet on the ground. I picked it up, but there was only $3 inside of it. So I kept that and left the wallet where it was. I looked at it as my fee for lightly considering being a good samaritan combined with being annoyed at how there was so little cash in the fucker's wallet.

I'd say he was a prodigy, but that would entail him taking the "Smack My Bitch Up" philosophy when dealing with his wife and her crazy antics.
