Pedophile Question

    This is an honest quest, so please don't take it any other way. Why do male pedophiles primarily attack boys. I thought it was because they were homosexual, but I've learned that this is usually not the case.     Basically, pedophiles who "touch a child" do so with a boy 60% of the time.

    Thanks for the insight into prior posts by this "dr" - at first I thought "can anyone really be ignorant enough to not see the intent on this "article"
    but after you point out his previous gems , it looks as if TBN is handing out Doctorate Certificates to their Platinum Donors who have called in a pledge during their latest pay and pray away the apocalypse phone-a-thon. Sad.

    Perhaps it seems disproportionate in no small part because parents are more protective of their little girls? Many more opportunities for a pedophile to gain trust and alone time as a coach, teacher or priest...cub scout leader or whatever. The hetero pedophiles mostly have to snatch a little girl, which is obviously much riskier and tougher to do.

    Why isnthis "ignorant"? It's an honest question. The Sandusky case made me think abut the Catholic church scandel. The cases of pedophile priests were almost always with boys as victims. So I was just curious. The link I posted may be from a conservative news source, but there are some facts cited that I haven't seen anyone refute. I don't have an agenda other than curiosity on thsubject.

    Maybe your questions are legitimate as well, but I haven't looked into it. I think the homosexual angle is relevant because pedophilia involves sexual acts thus involving the sex drive.

    I am saying both subjects have to do with sexuality. The guy asked me why being homosexual is any more relevant than a pedophile being a Christian.

    Again, I think it goes back to if you're a homosexual pedophile, then there's a draw to youth coaching, the priesthood or cub scout leader. If you're a hetero pedophile, pretty much your only option is investing in a van and some candy.

    Agree about the cause. The problem with "let's not talk about it", though, is what lets garbage like this continue.
