Don't Rent from Enterprise rent -a-car

I don't have a problem with enterprise, but they have one with me. A couple years ago, I picked up a brand new Impala. It only had 240 miles on it. 6.4 miles later, I hit a big ol deer. The airbag deployed ( fun) and the fat bitch almost went though the windshield and in the front seat with me.

I ALWAYS buy thier insurance. I called em up and told them to get a tow truck and bring me another car :)

    They weren't very happy....

I don't see the problem here. If a car rental place gives you the run around, take your business elsewhere.

I wouldn't be happy about renting a car to a shitty driver, either.

The good people at Enterprise always treat me right, but the no frequent renter rewards is kind of a drag. Side note, last time I rented with them, the guy who picked me up told me they had just brought an H3 into the fleet. First person that rented it was some dumb bitch, who brought it back the very next morning - left it on the lot. Dude opens the door and water pours out all over him.

Yes, apparently she thought this vehicle was so versatile as to double as a boat. A fucking boat. So she drove it into a river. You know, to try and float it. It didn't, um, float exactly. Way to buy a new H3, bitch.

Haven't rented from Enterprise for years.

I have sworn off Budget for life, however - I had three consecutive bad experience with them in different parts of the country - NO cars available for 12 hours, a breakdown of a year-old Highlander (transmission - which they tried to blame on ME), and watching a fistfight between a manager and and employee.

This thread reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry had a rental reservation and the girl at the counter told him they had no cars.

I've rented a car before but that is because it was for business and my company paid for it. Maybe if you got a job besides working at McDonalds you'd realize that people rent cars for other reasons than being in an accident.

    Hope this helps.

    Does McDonalds even give vacations?

Jack Crawford's company. He's a pretty wealthy man.

Just like my father, he didn't wait to be drafted but rather ran down and enlisted right after Pearl Harbor was bombed by the Japanese. He became a naval fighter pilot serving in the Pacific. Fought in some very famous battles off of both The USS Essex and The USS Enterprise.

He named this rental car company after the second carrier he served from.

How enlightening. No wonder his company bombs when it comes to customer service.

    Very good!

I don't think he flew bombers though. Thought he was a fighter pilot...Hellcat F6.

Don't rent from National. They just assessed me a $15 admin fee because a notice of toll evasion was sent to them when I mistakenly took what I thought was a Car Pool lane, but in fact was a FasTrak lane.

Now I'm being hit with a $70 penalty feel from The Toll Roads and a $15 admin fee from National. Really? Thanks National. Jackasses.

Break the law in someone else's car, then bitch about the consequences. It's the American way

Do you believe that this practice is exclusive to Enterprise?

    Who?
  • Con_Alma
Enterprise, National Hertz, etc.....does Scarlet believe the practice is exclusive to Enterprise, National, Hertz or anyone for that matter.

If not then it doesn't seem like it's a good reason to not rent from them, in his case National. If so, then it might be worth finding out if others do it also.

I zoomed right over him saying it was National and was thinking about why he should not use a particular company for something if they all were doing that.

I was mistaken in using Enterprise in my question.

I was in California. I'm not from there. I didn't know what FasTrak was. I *thought* it was a synonym for "car pool" lane.

It wasn't Enterprise. It was National. And when I'm a premiere customer who frequents their service, yes... I would have hoped that they would have just "ate" the $15 "admin fee" after I just paid them $500+ for a rental car.
  • Con_Alma
Thanks but that wasn't the question.

You should see what car companies charge their lessee's when they get the tickets sent to them. We are talking $50-100 per ticket.
