Played it for the first time in a while and remembered that I got the Back to Karkand DLC for free since I got a "Limited Edition" copy on PS3, which was the same price as the regular edition...

eh, its ok. some of the other ones are more 3 dimensional which is pretty cool.

The new maps are kickass. I didn't play BF2 so they are all new to me. I like the ones with all the buildings, I can't think of the names. The destruction is much better.

i had BF2, never really played it much online though because i got it overseas so i remember the names of the maps, just not the details.

Gulf of Oman was my favorite BF2 map. Kubra Dam was my 2nd favorite.

I'm messing around with the campaign first before I get into the multiplayer -- played it fine for a couple hours earlier. But now I can't because "the connection with the EA online was lost." Wtf? It's fucking offline campaign. Why the hell do you need to be connected for that? Now I remember why EA sucks ass. At least I didn't buy this ripoff.

I have owned 5 battlefield games: 1942, Vietnam, 2, Bad Company 2, and now 3. I have literally never once clicked on single player in any of them. It just isn't what the game is about. Have not had any server issues on 3 yet...

Same. I never touch the SP on BF.

BF3 has been tremendous regarding the servers. Latest patch basically got rid of any lag.

Battlefield didn't have a SP campaign until BC2.

    You mean Bad Company.

I'm a PC player. We didn't have Bad Company.

Lol I wouldn't have known. If any of the games have had them I haven't checked them out. What I love about BF is rolling through a map with a tank with my bud from back home and owning some people. Good feeling. Also like COD don't get me wrong.

So what's up in the Battlefield world? Anything new for someone who has played since early November? (I downloaded the map pack, but never played).

I've been playing nonstop skryim since 11/11, but feel like I'm going to start mixing in some battlefield 3 here and there now...

not much new. the new maps are a good break from the old ones, although i rarely get to play them during the regular rotation.

I feel like mine are weighted heavily towards the new maps. Though I don't mind because I prefer them to most of the older ones.

I played some the other night. I too have been sucked in by Skyrim, but I'm going to be playing more BF3 again.

I play for abour 1-2 hours a day when i get home from work. which is about 2-3 maps and i get a new map like once every 3 days haha. its not even really the new maps, but even some old maps dont get rotated evenly. it took me like 2-3 weeks to play Karkand haha.

If I want to play a certain map, I'll just search for the game mode I want to play that is currently using that map.

I do that as well. But then it seems to play more new maps after that. Perhaps the engine rotates based on ones you tend to play more? Haven't heard of it working that way, but it seems that way.
