Tiger Woods' father pushed Golf on him real young

This kid's parents pushed zealous religion on him real young

Why is it not a valid comparison... both sets of parents pushed an activity on a young child so strongly that they are defined by it at an early age. One activity is golf, the other is religious advocacy.

Is one necessarily worse than the other?

It bears a real discussion (which is also the point of a message board; they are designed for DISCUSSION of topics, not just repeating the words fail and pwn).

I think it's perfectly legitimate to criticize this kids parents... but on the same token one should also criticize Tiger's father.

However, neither parent has done anything illegal... there is a right in this country to raise one's own children how they see fit (As long as it doesn't cross certain lines).

    Since you asked. :p

Tiger is rich and swimmin in the pussy. The Kid is destined to be a deranged crack head. But I'm sure it was God's plan.

Anymore tough questions, Please send them to me via PM. ( people will think that you ar an idiot asking questions like this)

I would say Tiger's dad pushed golf on him harder than the little preachers parents are pushing preaching. (at least based on what I'm seeing in the video) It sounds to me like they just let him grab the microphone and act like dad. IMHO, no big deal. The bigger deal is that the parents appear to be a freak show and I'm sure the kid is doomed for other reasons.

The kid could easily grow up to be the "next big thing" preacher. It's not that far out of the question.

Especially considering the fact that Pentecostals could MAKE him that way.

Somehow, I go back to thinking this kid should've been in There Will Be Blood.
  • SnotBubbles
I really enjoyed his message. Victory in Jebus.

Why care about how someone raises their child?

Why care about something someone chooses to do when it has 0 effect on your life?
  • Tiernan
How hilarious is it that the kid's name is Damian?

i think a good argument could be made that many actions have ramifications outside the scope you're considering. that kid will vote someday.
