Your ACT Score

It doesn't surprise me either. Basketball is huge at the school and they basically will take ANY student.

but if they plan on playing for a school who is a member of the NCAA..they have to get atleast an 18 to get by the NCAA clearing house (i believe). Had a cousin who had somewhat of an issue with it

31 the first time, 35 the second time. I always do well on standardized tests though. I got 36's in math, reading, and English, and a 31 in science on the second one.

27 the first time, 30 the second time. Can't remember how the scores broke out by category, but do remember my math score was the highest. Shortly after getting the second score back, my Math teacher (who had been teaching for ages, my Dad even had him) informed me that I was the biggest underachiever he ever taught (my grades were pretty mediocre in comparison to my test score ~ 2.8)....

    32. English and reading held me back got perfect 36s on math and science.

    I got a 31 and my wife got a 28 or 29 I believe.

Might as well have asked "how much do you bench?" or "how big is your penis?"

Anyone who scored high wants to flock to the thread and brag, while people who scored low tend to stay away. This quite naturally shifts the range a bit higher.

Agreed on both, re the first probably the average at my HS was a 19. I'm Facebook friends with many of them, and some of them have trouble even constructing a coherent message even if we're just discussing what they did last night. People here might post ideas I disagree with but for the most part the presentation is intellectually sound. I would guess the average ACT of an Ohiochatterer is in the high 20's.

    ^^I would agree with that.

No joke, I have a cousin raised as my sister (she lived with us pretty much her entire childhood) - I know what she got on the ACT - a 20. She went to nursing school and is doing well, but for the life of me although I love her to death I can hardly bear e-mailing with her due to the horrid grammar and sentence structuring. It is cringe inducing. She isn't trying to be dull, she just can't do it correctly.

30 on the ACT, don't know the exact breakdown. Got a 1410 on the SAT with a perfect math(no calculator, obviously why I got the correct answer of 14 on that math thread:) ).

I call BS on those scores, no person that smart would ever go to UK. :)

Well for the record I fell asleep mid-ACT and got a 24. :) I somehow got into everywhere I wanted so I never retook it.
  • I Wear Pants
You got into everywhere because *gasp* most places only want mid 20s or so because most people are too fucking stupid to score higher than that and well, colleges like money so they'll take the people.

I shit you not, in the 3rd economics class I took a girl raised her hand as the professor was talking and asked "what's revenue?". Several others thought it was a decent question. I was raging beyond belief.

Haha, it was more of a grad school decision than anything else.

Got a 29 on my second attempt. 28 on both my first and third attempt. Had the highest ACT score in my class that I knew of (didn't hear of anyone getting a 30 or higher in my grade). Ended high school with a 2.9 or a 2.8.

When I joined the Army I took the ASVAB and got a 97 out of 99. I was told I qualified for any job in the military because my subscores (GT for ex.) were just below the maximum. I was in a stuffy room and taking it on a computer and I actually fell asleep for 10-15 minutes while I was taking it...

The ACT grading system was changed somewhere around 1989. I got a 33 before the change, which equated to a 34 on the new scale. My guidance counselor was rubbing his hands and telling me about all the scholarship money I was going to get, but it didn't turn out that way. I boycotted the NHS while in HS because it was comprised of a bunch of cheaters and my GPA was a little south of 3.5. Both of those factors ended up hurting me.

I ended up getting a little money from UC but not nearly what we thought I would get.

i took mine in the middle of college and flew through most of it and got a 97 too. i remember the other guy i took it with scored so low his only options were infantry or transportation.

I know, its amazing how many "smart people" are on a silly, minor league message board.
