Ahhh... okay. That is it. This makes sense now. -

That is only a guess. I still don't know if I will pass on the phone. It just seems silly to me to give up my perfectly good incredible to go with the Bionic. Since I just got a Galaxy Tab I think my want for a new phone has taken a back seat. I am sure my phone will go for a swim or dropped sooner or later and I will upgrade then. -
JawbreakerIt looks like the droid 3 has a unlocked bootloader. Smart move on their part.

gorocks99Droid Bionic finally with a signup page. Wish it would hurry up so I wouldn't have to go phoneless waiting.

Got my Droid 3 yesterday. It is freaking awesome. There are a few really cool business oriented apps preloaded on it (Citrix, MotoPrint, GoToMeeting), and the build quality feels really good. I'm actually really impressed with it, and I'm positive that had it been a 4G device, it would easily be the best seller at Verizon. But since it's not, it won't be.Jawbreaker;824226 wrote:It looks like the droid 3 has a unlocked bootloader. Smart move on their part.

Why would you have to go phoneless? -
karen lotzI think he said his contract on Sprint ends before Bionic will be released.

dlazzFuck Motorola.

sherm03Contract ending does not mean you have to switch that day. Unless your phone is fucked up, you will just be month-to-month with Sprint until you decided to switch to Verizon for the Bionic.
However, the Bionic delay could be a blessing in disguise for Sprint customers. Because it was announced today that the Photon will be out on July 31st. I've had it for a week now, and it is absolutely amazing. It's definitely worth looking at for those Sprint customers due for an upgrade soon. -

How's battery life compared to og evo and evo 3d? -

So far I have no complaints. I can't really compare it to those two because I haven't carried either of those devices. But I am able to easily get through a day without having to put it on a charger. -

I am lucky if I can go 4 hours of light use on my thunderbolt without putting it on the charger. Battery on that phone is a fucking joke. -

I think htc phones are the best in the business, but the battery life is garbage -

Marketing rep for Motorola. -

I don't know. The Samsung Galaxy S II looks really nice and Motorola's phones are not too bad either. It just depends on the form factor you want.....I don't see a HTC slider that beats the Moto Droid lineup (1, 2, or 3).
I still use a HTC Incredible but and I don't know if I will go HTC in the future. They don't really wow you with their current phone lineup. -

If the rumors of the iphone coming to Sprint are true I'll be switching back. I'm getting sick and tired of my Evo. -

Wow seems like you flipped 180 from the last I read. What are the issues with the Evo? -

The battery life sucks for the most part and now it defaults to answering the phone with the speakerphone on and there is no way to turn it off. I've read a lot of people are having issues with this and there isn't a reliable way to fix it. Some people are having luck by just removing the battery and resetting it but a ton of us are SOL. -
justincredibleI still love HTC Sense, but the actual phone is turning into a giant piece of shit.

Have you tried a factory restore? Or different ROMs? The EVO is unlocked and incredibly easy to flash. You may want to look into Cyanogenmod -

If I did a factory restore I'd have to start from scratch and add all of my apps and shit, right?
I'll check out cyanogenmod. -

It depends on whether or not you'll have to restore your apps. Starting with 2.2+, the market will redownload your apps for you.
If you're rooted, you could install Titanium Backup and backup your apps to your SD card, and then restore them once you've factory restored.
One thing to note, Cyanogenmod is Sense-less, but it sounds like your speakerphone issue is a sense-based issue. -

From what I've read it seems to be related to a few things, Car Dock or Hearing Aids:
Go into "Settings", then go to "Call", then unclick the box next to "Hearing Aids".
Go into Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Car Dock -> Force Close
Another thing worth trying:
Voicemail App - menu - settings - "Select Speakerphone Off. -

All of this has already been tried.
