Is a lack of sex grounds for ending a marriage?

The BossShe might look good for 50 somethin' but she doesn't look as good as the 20 year olds on the computer. Tough to get it up when you have that image then you're staring at your 50 year old wife that you've been banging for 30 years. I can't even imagine, I get bored with the same chick after a few months. Alcohol has saved my relationship many times.
I bet a grand she doesn't do her womanly duties either--she's probably a dead fish. Boring. There are plenty of fish in the sea and when it comes to sex most of them are dead. I've slept with at least 4 or 5 dead fish, at least 3 of them I got up about 10 minutes into it, got dressed and walked out without saying anything. lol -
Thread BomberI do not know if it's grounds for divorce, but it sure as hell is the reason for most of em.......

Had a buddy break up with a girl when she told him to just put her t-shirt back down when he was done. The Boss;777409 wrote:She might look good for 50 somethin' but she doesn't look as good as the 20 year olds on the computer. Scarlet_BuckeyeFirst we need to define "lack of sex." Are we talking never? Are we talking once a week? Are we talking once a month?
If never and once a month, I'd say yes. -
ernest_t_bassHere's a question... What if the woman never initiates anything? I'm sure it gets old for the man to always say, "let's go." Nice to have the woman show some interest outside of the actual act.

fan_from_texasNo, it isn't grounds for ending a marriage, but it's a very serious problem. It's unusual for one spouse to stop wanting to have sex at all--in the case of men, this usually signals either a porn addiction or infidelity.

...not grounds for ending a marriage. -

At any rate, sounds like the guy has a major issue - the key is honesty. Be honest with your spouse, for whatever reason. Sounds like he isn't.
I believe the plaintiffs in the at fault states argue constructive abandonment. The plaintiff has to show the spouse has refused sex for a period of time (usually one year).
I agree with your second point. -

They had other issues (no affairs or alcohol/drug problems, just a case of "empty nest" adjustment), but she told my wife that the reason she gave up on trying to fix things was his refusal to ..well…perform his “husbandly duties” for the last year, and that this was not something she was going to live without.
Both of them were good friends from our college days - we were certainly surprised. The woman is very attractive for her early fifties – while I know everyone has a dark side, she really doesn’t seem to be one of those “behind the scenes witches” (we all know a few of them). From the sounds coming from the guest room whenever they'd visit, I don't think sex was a problem for them until recently, either (for the record, she is a moaner).
Her husband never complained of any problems, and seemed to be his regular self when they came up for our daughter’s wedding last fall.
I still it hard to believe that the guy wouldn’t touch his wife for over a year. Is that justification for ending a marriage?
Let’s get this out of the way…inviting her over for a threesome is right out – and I’m NOT going to try and do her myself. She and my wife have no secrets between them, and I want to live to see another birthday. 
... Maybe the dude hit some strange and his now afraid to give his wife something he may have caught?... just a thought! -

Fab4RunnerI love how some are blaming the woman even though it is her that WANTS the sex and is getting a divorce because her husband won't give it to her. I find it hard to believe that she wouldn't do everything possible to initiate/ask for sex before deciding to file for divorce. Like oh my husband never makes a move but instead of me trying I will just end the marriage.

There is alot to be said about that. Women need to initiate things once in awhile to make the guy feel wanted and such.
I know.. i know........many on here will say that women always initiate it with them....but still..... -

I guess I didn't really specify on it being grounds for termination. Just more throwing it out there for a topic of discussion.
