PSN(PS3) Hacked, Again....

I Wear PantsI like both. But I've got to say that I have never once felt like I didn't get my money's worth with XBL.

Don't even get me started on the 360.
I've had 4 360's.. 2 RROD and 1 E-74 or whatever that was...
My current 360 doesn't get much PT at all because I honestly don't care for the system.. I haven't renewed Live in quite sometime, and let's not act like Live hasn't had any downtimes either...
The fact of the matter is, I still have SP games I can play on my PS3, I can still use Netflix, and I can still use the blu-ray player. Actually, even w/o PSN the PS3 still offers me more ATM. -

No.
You can tell no difference once inside a game. I've never had lag problems on either system, unless the game servers themselves were having issue (COD multiple times)...
Live offers more "content" than PSN... Content I care nothing about. IMO, Live has gotten way too cluttered. Some people may like that, me personally, I like the simple look of PSN and the XMB Sony uses.
The one thing I do wish PSN was better at is game invites. Live is great at that.
I don't really think this thread should be turned into a 360 vs PS3 thing though. -
I Wear PantsLive is great at the friends list and communications aspect of it. Being able to take a party with you between different games is really nice.

Your entire post reminds me of a JJHuddle vs. Ohio Chatter argument.
I just find it funny that people who left JJHuddle for here give people flack about PSN. I truly look at it as XBL~JJHuddle PSN~Ohio Chatter. -

How so?
And to the topic at hand it blows that the server is down now, I was just getting into kicking ass on Mortal Kombat. But for being free I'm plenty happy with PSN. -

My only perceived benefit is the better controller. That's my personal opinion.
Now, if you want to know why I like the 360 controller more, there's only 2 reasons. One, I like the slightly heavier feel (for some reason my PS3 controller is really light). 2, the concave joysticks. PS3's joysticks are convex and my finger sometimes slips in Fifa, whereas with the concave controller my thumbs never slip. I play so much fifa that it's a tiny issue. -

The PS3 Controller that came with the console (Black) is heavier than the Blue one I bought separately. They are both Sony brand, so it's not like I have a Madcats one that's lighter. I just think it's weird because they're the same besides the color. -
FabioFrom what I've read, we're looking at Tuesday to be able to go back online.

Does the blue one vibrate? -

Haha, knew you liked vibrators...

mucalum49Sucks that its been down. I've kept trying to watch MLB TV through my PS3 app but it isn't working, yet Netflix still does somehow.

Yea, it's exactly the same as the one that comes with the system sans color. -

most of the original ps3's came with controllers without the Dualshock 3 capability. Those controllers that do have Dualshock 3 are noticeably heavier. -
jordo212000I went through 3 xboxes before I said screw it and bought a ps3
-
bases_loadedI went through 2 plus bought an hddvd player for one. I'll take a week off from free online play over the 1k I wasted on Microsoft

hoops23Rumors floating out that the FBI has arrest warrants out for over 40 members of the "Anonymous" group. Some have already been caught in UK.
The arrest warrants were issued for cracking into PSN's servers, releasing Sony security information, and getting peoples CC info. -
bases_loadedGood. Fuck them. Obviously it wasn't about rights of use but credit card fraud

hoops23Latest release from Sony states they're finishing up on strengthening the infrastructure of their online servers and PSN should be back up. Depending on where you look, people are saying either Monday or Tuesday.

From what I hear, Monday in Japan, Tuesday for the rest. -

Because there was a flaw in them which made them likely to fail. However, they dealt with it well IMO by extending the warranty to 3 years and with the die shrinks since I haven't had any friends have problems since the last die shrink (the one before the slim came out, I think it was codenamed either zephyr or falcon). -

They were made faulty, hence the 30+% failure rate. They finally have it figured out though.
But again, Live experienced online/server issues back in 2008 for a full 2 weeks. They ended up offering a free XBLA to make up for it.
This stuff can happen. -

I didn't get my PS3 until last Christmas. I've only had it for a little over a year. I have the slimmer version, so I got the shock. The one that came with the game however feels "more solid" -

I never really paid attention to that. I have an original PS3 Dualshock controller from when they first came out.. I just bought a red one. I'll see if there's any difference between those two as well...
