Roy "Big Country" Nelson is the season 10 Ultimate Fighter

This_DJ_3I've also been saying to everyone who will listen that Jon Jones reminds me of a young Anderson Silva with his length, striking, and just his cage savvy. he has a great attitude and seems destined for greatness. i can't believe they haven't put him on a main card until now. He'll be carrying pay-per-views before long.
Nelson suprised me with the knockout. i wasn't sure he had that kind of power in his hands, but like Rogan said, its the same spot Lesnar caught Couture to knock him out. right behind the ear. Schaub will be good because of his athleticism, camp, and work ethic, but i wanna wait and see how he responds after being hit solidly again in the future.
Big Baby is just too soft mentally and his chin is obviously suspect. He seems to be broken mentally if he takes you down and cant submit you instantly. Meat head is a douche, but he did look alot better than he did on the show.
Kimbo was about what i expected except he impressed me with his willingness to take the fight to the ground to avoid the dancing and leg kicks. he knew that was the only way he was going to get to do any damage. I was also impressed with his patience and poise. he didn't chase in and do something crazy and leave himself open when Houston was obviously avoiding any exchanges. Kimbo needs to lose the last 10 lbs and get to LHW where his size and strength will help him prevent takedowns. he also needs to obviously get his cardio up. he's in trouble against anybody in shape in the 3rd round. it's too bad he's 35. he would have a bright future if he was in his twenties.
overall i was very impressed by the card. -

I agree completely. Big Baby is so close to having it, but that glass jaw just keeps him from being great.bigdaddy2003 wrote: 1. I wanted Schaub to win however I am impressed with Roy's win because I expected him to lay on him and win that way. Don't get me wrong I understand you win however you can but Roy just didn't impress me the whole season.
2. Big Baby is the man but man does he have a glass jaw.
3. Jon Jones is the real deal. I thought so when I saw him fight Bonnar but this fight just reassures me of the point.
Jon Jones was unreal, I really enjoyed his fight hope he ends up in some big matches soon. -
sportchamppsThis DJ as I said earlier i to feel like Jones is a young Silva. The only thing I need to see out of him is a ground game. Silva has a great ground game and is the reason he is able to keep fights standing the way he does. If Jones can develop this aspect of his game (who knows maybe he already has it) he could be a title holder for a long time.

ZombieKillerI read somewhere that Big Baby might be done fighting..Anyone hear this?
-
HereticI wouldn't be surprised, Zombie. He's in his late 30s (37, I think) and was contemplating it after losing to Schaub. In his mmajunkie blog, Schaub noted that a lot of people were saying that right after losing, but for an older guy new to the sport to then get KTFU by Mitrione in his first official UFC fight, he could easily be done.

Fab1bAfter the way Big Baby went after Mitrione for injuring Junk (by no fault of Mitrione's) and got his ass whooped I'd be done fighting too out of embarrassment!

ZombieKillerHeretic, your off my 1 year lol. He is 36. That sucks he is probably done fighting. I enjoyed him on the show and he was a badass in the cage.
I like Schaub a lot and he has a lot of talent. But I don't think he will even be a blimp on the radar in the Hvy division. I know its highly unlikely, but I think he should drop down. -
jmogBig Baby has dang good jits for a HW, but his takedowns are average at best, his stand up is horrible, his chin is even worse.
I really liked him, but his game improved near zero from the taping of the show to the live finale.
