to each his own. If she didnt want to get fucked up she probably shouldnt have been fighting in the street like a drunken idiot and obeyed the cops instead of giving them shit.

Alot of what I say in these threads it really to get posters like Ender fired up. With that said, I have cops backs. My father and 2 uncles were cops and 3 very good friends currently are as well and the endless shit they had and have to put up with from scumbags on a daily basis earns my respect. Now does that make every cop in this country a good cop? Hell no it doesn't. There are far more good than bad though just like in any profession. Now I do stand by my thought that the cops were coming into a crowd, peoeple all over the place, cars stopped in what appears to be the middle of the street, they have no clue what is happening, and they are severly out numbered. So they sent a message and again laid the wood and by golly no one else rushed in did they? That is for their own protection! And when the stupid but hot bitch did she got it as well. Should the guy have been beaten while laying on the ground probably not but and their investigation I am sure will determine that officers fate.

"Investigation" my ass. Even if they'd have shot the guy they probably wouldn't get fired.

The dude got beat for letting his woman out of the kitchen.
The woman got beat for being out of the kitchen.
    Just sayin.

I'm sure that the actions can be defended on hitting the guy, hitting the girl, and pepper spraying the girl. The biggest problem is when the girl is OBVIOUSLY stunned by the pepper spray and wandering around the cop feels it proper and ness. to drag her by her waistband and slam her to the ground. There was absolutely NO reason for that. Don't give me this "it was for their protection" or "crowd control" bullshit.

At no time was the self-rightous cop threatened by anyone from the crowd, the guy he handcuffed and beat continuously, or the 125 lb girl. I realize there are times that force is needed for self protection. This wasn't one of those times.

Not to nitpick, but that girl hasn't seen 125lb in awhile.

Her weight is only relative to my point. She was half the size of the officer and didn't pose any physical harm to him.

How many cameras are on her?

Like I said earlier, I've seen worse fights and less force.

I remember a girl getting in a cops face drunk as piss. All he did was grab her by the wrists, spun her, and cuffed her. Unless she punches him or pulls something on him, there is no need to beat her like that.

But haven't you read what some of these posts have said? If you don't want to be beaten, don't break the law. LOL, genius logic there......in Soviet Russia.

No kidding. I saw a drunk girl HIT a cop in the arm...he just grabbed her and cuffed her. Sat her ass on the curb until a squad car came and put her in the back of the car. There were plenty of people around at the time. Most of us in shock because the stupid chick actually took a swing on the cop. Thankfully, things didn't escalate.

I don't, imagine if you try to go back to a fast place with a wrong order trying to get it corrected. He might just jump across the counter and beat you till you leave.

And by "leave", you mean, "have your unconscious body tossed into the dumpster with said wrong order".

This. I think everything else is fairly justifiable, but when he went after the girl all he needed to do was grab her arm, and slap the cuffs on here and take her back to the vehicles and make her sit down with the other woman that the other cop had detained. The excessive force was him slamming her down before he even told her to get down on the ground so he could cuff her...he just took out her legs and slammed her down. That was unnecessary.

I don't have a problem with what he did to the guy, because a) the guy is a lot bigger than the girl and poses more of a threat if he decides to resist, so it's necessary to take control of him quickly and get him on the ground and b) because after watching it 3 times, the cop tells him twice to get on the ground as he approaches the vehicle, and the dude backs up and does not listen and backs up towards the white jeep...my guess is that if he had just laid down where he was when the cop first told him to get on the ground, the nightstick would not have been involved. When he didn't listen, the cop had a guy his size or bigger that wasn't complying with his demand, and a girl running around that was also not being cooperative. It was more necessary to get the guy subdued and cuffed, to take thie biggest threat out of the situation if they both remained uncooperative. Just my two cents.

You guys keep justifying them coming out swinging because of the possibility that the person could resist. That's not how it works.

We won't know what was said either but just because a cop says to do something doesn't mean you don't have a right to say "wait, why?" without getting beaten.

That is how it works. you take control of the situation immediately, you dont let the suspects control the situation, thats how people get seriously hurt and killed. should the cops have showed up and been like "ladies and gentlemen, when you are done beating on the girl in the car, would you mind kindly laying on the ground so we could hand cuff you?"

when you just get done committing a violent crime against another person, doing anything other than what the cop tells you do, will make the cop get physical with you. for the safety of everyone involved, they need to control the situation, it isnt a court room where you can discuss and plead your case.

I agree with what you present, but in this situation it was excessive. The situation was under control when the guy was on the ground and the girl was pepper sprayed. No need for the slam. It looked as if he was pissed and lost his cool (cop).
