How many people here use it?

How do you use it? Work, fun, family, friends?

And have you "liked" Ohio Chatter yet?!?

If you're under 30 and don't have one, something is wrong with you.
  • darbypitcher22
    I use it.

    What is it?
  • THE4RINGZ
I use it. I probably have 120 friends. I don't post every detail of my life, but it is fun to see some of my old friends and classmates.
  • FatHobbit
I use it also. Mostly for friends and family that don't live in the state. I don't post to often, mostly I just read what other people have posted and comment.

I think I have liked Ohio Chatter, but it might have been free huddle. Maybe they are the same? I don't know...

I remember being one of the first guys on our basketball team in college to join the facebook world. At that time we had an off campus house and wanted to have a party during the first week of class and I showed the guys on my team how I could invite the incoming freshman girls to our party via facebook. They all instantly signed up.

With that said, I very rarely post a status, but with it being on my iPhone, I check it a few times throughout the day.

I know, I know. Just thought I'd share my first experiences with facebook. It was a really useful networking tool at that time, and has own become far more resourceful.

He also forgot to mention his brand new sports car that he used to pick the "girls" up in along with all the beer.

I have a friend from high school (25 years old) who doesn't have Facebook and who doesn't have texting on his phone (it's completely blocked, so if you text him it gets bounced back). I honestly don't know how he communicates in this modern world like that.

Facebook was launched my senior year of high school and by the time I cam home on winter break my freshman year of college many of my friends at bigger state schools like OSU were on and wondered why I wasn't. Well, I went to a tiny college and we hadn't been added to Facebook yet. About a month into my sophomore year my school was finally on Facebook and I signed up the day we were added. Having been in before Facebook and after Facebook I cannot overstate the impact that it had and how much it changed the college experience.

I still use Facebook quite extensively. If I'm on my computer the my web browser will be open and Facebook is always the first tab. I use it to keep up with friends, communicate with family members living across the country, and especially to communicate with the students in my youth group. I use it for fun, personal use, and for my job. When you add up all the times I just glance at it and check updates, plus when I use it on my phone, I'm on Facebook probably 1.5-2 hours a day.

Love FB...I use it every day to connect with friends and family, some that are scattered across the country and world. I got Facebook in 2004 and haven't ever really taken a break from using it. There have been times when I haven't had access to the internet and could only check it once in a while but other than that I am on there daily.

Two of my brothers have never had a Facebook and will probably never get one. They are 30 and 27.
