Dating age … acceptable discrepancy

  • tk421
I'm still young enough that as long as they are legal (18+) it's all good. I'm not going to be getting into any serious relationships anytime soon, so if some 18 year old wants to be with me, I'm not going to say no.

I'm 27. If we're talking about a one time, hit-it-and-quit, then any age from 18-39 is fine. If we are talking about dating where I would have to talk to them more than once, then 24 or 25 would probably be the absolute minimum, though 27-32 is preferred. Most younger girls are just as immature as guys, and just as many are idiots, and as I get older I find my tolerance for stupid people to be less and less.

Well my buddies babysitter wants my balls but one problem, she is 17. But she turns 18 in march lol.

Most girls that become attracted to me are either under 18 (I'm that dude that friends little sisters get crushes on), or women over 65 (the "adorable grandson that's not related to me, so it's cool to get uncomfortably close to him and hug him" thing.)

So, that presents issues. I just turned 26, and I don't think I could date anyone younger than 21, nor older than 30.

GF is 12 1/2 years younger than me. She thought we were about the same age when we met. So, I guess you could say I'm not too concerned with age difference.

I've dated people that were 4 yrs. younger than me and looking back, I sure can spot the difference. I've also dated dudes that were 15 yrs. older than me, but I was in my early 30's at the time. I never would have dated somebody that much older than me when I was in my early twenties, simply because even though I was "mature" - I certainly wasn't in the same place as they were. I don't have those issues anymore.

I am 22. My oldest is just a few months older than me. Youngest was about 2 years younger.

Right now, I am single so, as long as its 18 its all good. lol

27 and my gf is 21.

Wife is 8 years older than me. Works out well since women live eight years longer than men on average. :)

As long as both people are 20+, it really doesn't matter...

    The classic Rule of Sevens:

age of younger person should be greater that or equal to: [(Age of older person/2) + 7 years]

Personally, I think once both parties are over age 25, age doesn't make all that much difference as long as both of you agree about the operational future of the baby factory. By that time, if you haven't grown up (at least MOST of the time, Power I :)), you're not going to.

I'm 24, GF is 28. Seems to be working out well, and has been for quite some time.

I'm 90, and in a nursing home. I'd say 72 years old would be perfect.

I'm 27 and my gf is 38. She loves to take it easy and I couldn't be happier

How old are you and the age range (plus or minus) of your dating habits?
im 24... i would date someone 2ish years younger and maybe 10-11 years older.... my only concern about dating someone in their 30's is they might be super ready to settle down and have me barefoot in the kitchen with a baby on my hip... no thanks :)

ps I dont know why i quoted... my bad.
In my case I was divorced at 36 and believe me I wanted no more kids! But I soon found out that the mid-20's women that i were dating wanted to settle down.

I am 38 and have gone out with women that are 40-49 and girls that are in their late 20's...much more prefer the older ones, more settled and have their crap together...plus their kids are grown and gone...lol

Went out a couple times with a woman who was 47 when I was 19, just for the sake of the story (and the fact that all the other dudes at work said it would be worth it - it was). Ha ha, wonder if she's still going at like 63 now?

Now married at soon-to-be 36 and the wife is 8+ years younger (started dating when we were 33/24).
    This guy's my hero! ^^^^^^

I've always been all across the age spectrum (legally, of course...). Variety is the spice of life, my friends...

Last serious relationship was five years younger, would go 5-8 years younger and maybe up to 15 older.

Mostly younger for me. Most recent was 12 years younger. She's kinda hot but sooooo immature that I just couldnt take it anymore but it was fun fun fun for a bit. We still can chat and all...ust nothing in common and thats what took so long for me to finally say 'hey, what the heck...it wont work out but at least itll be a good time for a bit'

Id say 5-6 years either direction would be good for me..

I'm 23 and met a girl at a party this weekend who was only 20. She started texting and w/e but i was hesitant just b/c i think 21 is the lowest i can go.

Before I started dating my fiance (BigAppleBuckeye), I never imagined I would date anyone more than a few years older than me. I always stuck with guys around my age give or take a year or two older or younger. I just thought I had more in common with people closer to my age. I always joke with my fiance that if I met him at a bar or something we probably wouldn't have gotten together, but because we met at work and became good friends first our relationship just happened organically.

Long story short. I'm very happy, and glad I didn't let my previous "rule" on age get in the way of something great.

    Dude,

If you're the Poonhammer age should matter.

You should be the iron chef of pounding vag no matter what age it is(18+)

Subtract your age from 210 and divide by 20....Oh wait, I think that's the formula for max heart rate while exercising

Work relationships could be an entirely new thread (probably has been multiple times). But, now that you mention it, most of the extreme age differences that I dated (especially the older ones) were from work.
