It's how they dance, don't have the dance if you don't want to them to do it. These people setting these rules went through the same shit when they were younger and were part of a generation that, as I said, either pushed the perversion or stand by and let it happen. Now they want to bitch? Hypocrites.
Nothing hypocritical about it. It's perfectly normal for children (of all ages) to push limits, and it's the job of the adults to set and enforce them.

And yes, jmog is smarter than you. As am I.

i graduated in 2006 and to be honest i wanted more slow dancing
• SQ_Crazies
LMAO! Alright, have fun in this discussion smart guys. I obviously can't hang with your vast intelligence ahahaha.

Wasn't aware that there were moral issues at work here. Bring God into the discussion, that'll really pick this thread up...

Jesus likes more slow dancing.

1. You started the "who's smarter" crap by calling me a dumbass.
2. Who said anything about God? Moral issues does not require anything religious at all.

Definition of moral (adj.)

Of or concerned with the judgment of the goodness or badness of human action and character.

Last I checked, nothing about religion or God in the Webster's dictionary definition.

People can have good morals without believing in "God".

...so it's goign to all slow dance? Kids at my school just made out when slow songs came on..good job!
• SQ_Crazies
Ok, well I'm sorry that I assumed that it had something to do with God--based on the fact that nearly everyone that talks about morality is speaking with some religious reference in their mind. But you're right, that's my bad.

Either way, my minuscule IQ can't hang in this discussion of high school kids...then again, this reminds me of a collection of teachers and administrators from a high school, a bunch of people who assume they know what's best for a bunch of high school kids because of their supreme intelligence. 99% of the time, that refers to the instructors that all the kids hate. I can see how an intelligent person would think that kids hating their teacher is the best way to go. I guess I shouldn't be surprised by this discussion.

SQ, you "lost" this discussion when you used the logic that well, they do it "this" way so they should be allowed to do it that way at a HS dance.

That logic fails on so many levels and then you come back with "dumbass" and attack the "person" istead of the argument/point itself.

Its called an "ad hominem" logical falacy. Your logic/argument fails when your last resort is to attack the other person instead of the merits of their argument.
• SQ_Crazies
Like I said, it's not my fault that you saw that as my entire argument. Your supreme intelligence should allow you to take in and comprehend an entire opposing argument.

Sorry, I'll leave your thread now. I have no business in a discussion of this level.
• thavoice
I think SQ crazies is ok with this because he sells boxer shorts outside of local proms to all the guys who were grinding too much with their ladies and, well, you know.
• SQ_Crazies
Yes, that's it. I'm a 23 year old pedophile with a 68 IQ.

You guys know what's best for these kids...
• darbypitcher22
we're not saying what is or isn't best for them. At a school function, there are common levels of decency that should be observed. Not everyone should be subjected to having to view all of the dirty stuff that goes on if they don't want to.

but is the way they dance nowadays.
• darbypitcher22
just because its the way they do it doesn't mean its right or that everyone enjoys it.

You wanna get down and dirty and dry fuck all over the place, hit up your local club.

Otherwise, keep it clean.

Well, if its "how they dance" is your logic, then because most teenagers nowadays send "sext" pictures back and forth on their phones should they be allowed to view porn in a computer class in HS?

No, HS events have stricter rules than what most kids are "doing" for a reason.

It would be different if it was one of the "dance clubs" that had "teen night" like the old Boot Scoot Saloon did back when I was in HS and they were dancing like that at the club. That I would have no big issue with, but at a HS event, you don't allow stuff like that.

Just like you have stricter dress codes in HS than what most of the kids wear around town.

Really, most teenagers?....

The latter is confirmed by your use of "Like I said" in a prior post.

Some of the comments are hysterical
In other news: The licking valley principal and board of trustees were SHOCKED to learn that 90% of the licking valley student body is sexually active.

Exactly.

I said a few times if they go dance like that at a party or dance club, fine, but it shouldn't be in a school function.

SQ just wants to jump all over people and call them a dumbass instead of looking at it as a whole.

He will grow up some eventually.

I agree... Besides, what dude wants their junk rubbed raw all night if they plan to use it after the dance?

Sorry, over exaggerated, how about "many"?

Not to mention that I'm not so sure that "most" would really classify how "they dance" nowadays (dry humping) as SQ said they do.
• darbypitcher22
And for most of these kids, unless they have the teen nights or whatever, I don't know how you get into the club, unless you have a fake ID. Most bouncers can spot those things from a mile away
• thavoice
90% of the student body sexually active?

Boy I dont know about that.
• darbypitcher22
that's an exaggerated comment from a reader of the dispatch. 90% is not even close. I'll bet its not even 50%

At least 90% of the student body are not parents right?
