Ohio's New License Plate

If you have a Bentley, you could probably afford the ticket for driving without the plate each time you get pulled over.
  • SQ_Crazies
    Not necessarily.

I saw a car from Alabama today. That license plate had the words "Sweet Home" across the top, then the tag number, and the word "Alabama" along the bottom.

Any state that prints Skynyd lyrics on their license plates is my kind of state.

Putting this on my car soon.

That one isn't bad at all.

Reminds me of old Indiana plates a little bit.

I liked these ones, wish they wouldn't have changed.

When I went to get plates for my car I definitely opted for the old blue/red/white version over this new crap.

    I think it looks retarded

They now say "Stars fell on Alabama" just as cheesy.

Not a fan. When I first saw them I thought they were Iowa plates.

That's why I like Michigan's. Some people are grandfathered to older ones (Like ohioians will be with the sunburst), but the standard one is nice and simple.

I like the old Michigan one's too

But it seems like every state has a similar plate out there.

    Ok, I'm done

There is nothing cheesy about Skynyrd lyrics my friend.

If thats all your state can lay claim to is a Skynyd song than thats cheesy.

You apparently are too young to understand. And I forgive you for that.
  • gerb131
Definitely not too young man. I lived in Bama for 2yrs and my bro and dad still do and it ain't nothing to write about.
  • THE4RINGZ
I was not defending living in the state. I was more commenting on the fact they have the balls to print the lyrics on their license plates.

I don't know about that. I will defer to you as the expert on sex toys. LOL

Sweet home Alabama, ROLL TIDE ROLL
where the skies are so blue, WOOOOOOO

Personally I don't like the design, especially the powder blue and yellow. That said it is the least of my concerns with the state of Ohio.

Ohio's sunburst plate always fooled me with Idaho's standard red/white/blue plate. The new plate is simply the evolution of the license plate. The new Alabama, South Carolina, and current Mississippi plates have gone with that 'scene' look, as opposed to simple colors.

Want to see clutter, check out Texas' standard plate.

Moon, Space Ship, Cowboy, Oil Derricks, Tumbleweed, etc all on a plate that's almost imperceptible.

Those plates are not a good look and will make Ohio look like bammers.
