Breowns will make the playoffs if....

Am I the only one that thought it was hilarious that Footwedge was making fun of others math skills when he completely botched this whole thing forgetting about Indy?

I mean come on, all these teams he was talking about are all fighting for the 6th spot only.

I laughed when I looked last night and realized the Browns were in "9th" place in the AFC right now, 2 games out with 3 to go. I laughed because I knew that some Browns fans out there probably think they are getting in.

This is coming from a lifelong Browns fan myself. We are playing well right now, but you don't start the season 0-5 and make the playoffs.

lol at the Browns CAN MAKE THE PLAYOFFS AT 7-9!!!

At WORST, the 6th spot will be 7-8-1. Which, by my math (which Footwedge might disgaree with), will be ahead of 7-9-0.

The Browns are "in the hunt"...why does it excite me that we are in the hunt finally, when the league is setup for every team to be "in the hunt" deep into the regular season...WHO CARES...BROWNS ARE IN THE PLAYOFF HUNT

    Edited for language.

I was stunned, as what he says is normally spot-on. :p

    AFC Playoff Picture

    Division Leaders
    1. Houston Texans 11-1
    2. Denver Broncos 10-3
    3. New England Patriots 9-3
    4. Baltimore Ravens 9-4

    Wildcard Leaders
    5. Indianapolis Colts 9-4
    6. Pittsburgh Steelers 7-6
    7. Cincinnati Bengals 7-6

The Bengals and Steelers still face each other. That means AT LEAST 6 teams will win 8 games in the AFC. It is IMPOSSIBLE for the Browns to make the playoffs at 7-9.

You sir...just like jmog and qcb gochiefs and all the other effin morons here.......all all wrong. All of you. And the 4 of you are trying to make fun of my math skills? Really? I mean....really?

    I'll go slow for you.

Pittsburgh and Cincinatti play each other. Right? Yup...they do. So....real slow....sooo youuuuu cannnn followwww the bouncing ballllll. LOL

The LOSER of the Pittsburgh/Cincy game.....can also LOSE their other 2 games....righttttttt? If they do, then the Browns will tie them with identical 7-9 records. Correct?

You all are fuggin dolts.....the winner of the Pitt/Cincy game wins the effin division....the Browns gain the second playoff wildcard....along with Indy. With a 7-9 record!

And to think.....you run this fukcin site.

    Joke.

Bengals lose all 3. Browns win 2 out of 3. They both have identical records of 7-9. The Browns own the tie breaker for having a better divisional record...which they will.

Or....Cincy beats Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh loses to Dallas and loses to the Browns. Browns beat Washington, lose to Denver and beat Pittsburgh

Browns have the tie breaker over Pittsburgh...both have 7-9 records...Browns go to the playoffs as long as the Bills and Jets lose 2 out of their last 3 games.
    ..
And....as I clearly stated above...the Jets and the Bills have to lose 2 out of 3.....the Browns WOULD BE THE SECOND WILD CARD TEAM ...with a 7-9 record.

    :p:p

    Steelers/Bengals win
    Jets lose

    Week 17
    Browns win over Steelers
    Bengals lose

That puts whoever wins between Steelers and Bengals in Week 16 in the playoffs. I just gave you the best scenario Browns could possibly have at 7-9, and yet, they still can't get in with everyone losing that they need to. It's not possible. At all. The Browns MUST go 3-0 the next 3 games or they have zero chance of getting in.
Hope you don't play with numbers for a living. Cuzzz...you are dead wrong.

I missed the part where Baltimore withdraws from the league and someone else wins the division.

I have to give you credit, you're always sure of yourself. Nearly always wrong, often a liar, but sure of yourself.

Barring the formalities of who CAN win the division, regardless the Ravens are 100% in.

Yeah, my mind is completely blown at (a) how stupid this all is and (b) how foot's unable to realize any of this.

This is kind of like darby with the college dregree...except possibly even more funny, as all darby did was whine that no one cared about him getting a degree, instead of getting all huffy and posting long rants that make him even more incorrect.

    Ooops.

    I forgot about Baltimore!

    Yup...I stand corrected.

I apologize to all. Go ahead and ban me. I guess I deserve it.

Yes...I deserve the rants.....my bad. I completely forgot about Baltimore. Now excuse me...while I go all Josh KC linebacker.

Basically the Browns have to win out and hope for some lucky scenarios to occur. I'd give it about a 0% chance of happening and that's being optimistic.
